This year at E3, writer-director David Ayer (known best as the writer of the movies Training Day and The Fast and The
Furious and the writer-director of End of Watch), producer Bill Block, co-producer Alex Ott and associate producer Owen Thornton announced that Wargaming.net and Sony Pictures Entertainment had joined forces to cross-promote their latest war film, Fury.

Wargaming.net is well known for its many efforts in supporting education, especially World War II history. These efforts include historical publications, museum partnerships and restoration of various historical combat vehicles. In line with this mission, the company decided to offer their help in promoting Fury.

The film will appear in theatres on 14 November 2014*. The collaboration will extend on multiple fronts and include film-based in-game content, social media, community events, and many cross-marketing initiatives, all leading up to the film’s release.

In the movie, it is April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. Written and directed by David Ayer, the film is produced by Bill Block, David Ayer, John Lesher, and Ethan Smith. The executive producers are Brad Pitt, Sasha Shapiro, Anton Lessine, and Ben Waisbren.

The cast of Fury includes Brad Pitt, starring as Wardaddy. Also starring in the film are Shia LaBeouf (Transformers, Constantine, Disturbia), Logan Lerman (The Butterfly Effect, the Percy Jackson movies, The Three Musketeers), Michael Peña (Shooter, Gangster Squad), Jon Bernthal (The Pacific, The Walking Dead), Jason Isaacs (The Patriot, Black Hawk Down) and Scott Eastwood (Invictus, Texas Chainsaw 3D).

Make sure you check out the official Fury trailer and get a first glimpse of the movie:

What trailer did miss to say about the film is that tank has lost his way and its commander, WW2 veteran, is paranoid man who thinks that everything is allowed in love and war (to put it simply). Its not movie for everybody, if you like realistic image of war i would recommend the movie, if you dont than dont watch it.

Oh, this looks like it'll be good! :) I'll take some time to watch this movie. Wargaming really does an effort around movies.

WG if it had any part in shooting this movie, it probably very little. They did documentary on Discovery chanel called: Greatest tank battles of all time (or i think that was called) and it was very cheaply made + all people were removed. So you had machine gun standing alone and shooting at tank which is very stupid but it goes with their policy of not having people in their game so younger people can play it. In Fury there will be a lot of dead people, let alone people.

WG is trying to get some cheap points by promoting Fury for free and getting new players in the game.
