[#1] Palworld (GAMEOGRE GAME OF THE YEAR WINNER)
Palworld stormed the gaming world in early 2024 as an unexpected juggernaut, becoming one of the year's biggest surprises with a massive player base and the second-highest concurrent player count on Steam, just behind PUBG until overtaken by Black Myth: Wukong. The game blends a handful of popular themes: survival mechanics from Ark: Survival Evolved, the open-world charm of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the creature-collecting appeal of Pokémon.

While often criticized as a "Pokémon knockoff," Palworld stands out with its unique blend of creature management, crafting, and morally questionable labor systems. Players can capture Pals for combat, resource gathering, and automated production lines, creating an addictive gameplay loop.



[#2] Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong took the world by surprise, achieving 2.2 million concurrent players on Steam overtaking Palworld's "second most-played game" title. With stunning visuals and engaging combat mechanics, this action game captivates players into a world of fantastic combat with exciting bosses. And the immerse narrative based on the classic Journey to the West compels gamers to explore and adventure.



[#3] Helldivers 2
While the game did temporarily receive backlash when Sony announced that PC players would be required to link their Steam accounts to a PSN account, which was later rescinded, Helldivers 2 managed to deliver one of the best sci-fi third-person shooter experiences in recent times. From an arsenal of weapons to endless fun in combat, players protect their home planet from alien forces.

️Dragon's Dogma 2
Dragon's Dogma 2 is the best open-world RPG of 2024 with a diverse environment interwoven with day-night cycles and weather, a fast-paced, action-oriented combat system, and strong story-driven quests centered around dragons.



️The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
It wouldn't be an end-of-the-year review without mentioning at least one Zelda title. The Legend of Zelda is the first main series game to feature Princess Zelda as the main protagonist, and follows a similar art style to Link's Awakening (2019).
