    I think I've broken my childish runescape addiction (yay for 3 months off). I was only a member for 2 months, 1 as a gift and another as to see what it was like. All I want to hear from you is do you think they are scammers, or masters (masters meaning geniuses, amazing, etc.) I really think there just in the middle and that's why I liked them, they take away something but would give a cool update.

    Scammer:
    Once you become a member it's really hard to not stay one, it's a whole new kind of world to you in runescape. I think your first month playing will just be trying to memorize areas. I also think they take away to much, I played in 2006 when pking lasted for about 6 months for me and the no trade limit. I remembered getting scammed and actully enjoyed it lol. It was fun because it was like a make shift game of life and they sort of took that away. They also give us a lot of face palms, giving you the option to do certain activities for a period of time rather than clicking each time.

    Master:
    Look at what they add in game, it really is worth it. I can't say all their updates are amazing because they add something really cool (example would be bounty hunter worlds) and then just nerf (ruin/weaken/decrease) it (adding that you can't protect your most valuable item with prayer). I check in from time to time just to see their updates and people really like them.

    So what do you think, yes no maybe so?

    I think it's a master game why?
    Pros:
    -Has good graphics for a JAVA game.
    -It's decent; I see it as a gateway game to more popular games.
    -Still is somewhat popular, despite the challenges they faced.
    -Upgraded to HD, was okay I guess.
    -They have a great storyline for quests. That's what I loved about Runescape the MOST. Oh my god, I remember when I did that quest to get Ancient Magicks..I think it was Desert Treasure. The second one I loved most was Recipe for Disaster, was a very challenging and fun quest.
    Cons:
    -Membership is a bit pricey for a game like that.
    -Updates could be better, and if your inactive for a while you really are confused once you get back wonder what has changed.
    -Some of the updates were pretty bad that killed off some things. PK and merchanting were huge things back then, it's what made me stay to the game. Although after they switched things up, all the pk clans died pretty much and a lot of scammers and merchanters left because of set prices. The economy is now totally controlled..meaning it's pretty much a communist based one. Back then lots of bots used to rule the economy, and with the basic rule of supply and demand, there was more supply than demand, so prices dropped which was good for the pkers that needed sharks and stuff, but bad for normal people who sold things like mage logs.

    Overall, if it wasn't for some of the updates I mentioned above, I'd probably still be playing Runescape a bit here and there. I actually learned some stuff from it too which is pretty funny..I learned how to type purely from Runescape. I remember just sitting in World 2 (Memb's World) when it used to be the main trading world, and sitting in Fally Park just repeating the same message OVER and OVER until I bought or sold what I wanted. I loved the concept that I could merchant, made some great money, but now that's gone I just don't like it. Quit the game about 3-4 years ago.

    Yea dosu I think Runescape gave me the ability to type about 75 words a minute without errors and not trying! :] (I love when teachers give us a 200 word essay and I know the topic). I kept a running list of people that I thought auto typed and always checked to see if I got them banned (I think I got 5 lol).
