MapleStory good or bad?

I think Maplestory has a unbalance damage system and has a large gap on damage range between levels.Also meso is hard to get at higher levels,so I think Maplestory is a horrible MMORPG.

 

Maplestory

Maplestory a few years ago was a fun game that had a huge grind. Now, it is a huge, ocasionally fun game, where you still grind. My problem with Maplestory has always been the game itself, I struggle to stay logged in and finally just gave up on it. I would encourage new players to just stay away as it can be so unwieldly and such a timesink that it loses alot of it's own fun.

It's funny, I played MS all the time when I was younger, now, my elder brother and I compare almost every MMO to Maple Story, by saying how much better it is than MS. X3 It was fun at first, but it got kind of monotonous.

 

Most of you who are saying it's bad because of the grinding required seem to be missing something in most, if not all RPGs. In every RPG I have ever played, grinding has been a huge part of it. I have not yet found a game where I haven't ended up grinding. How else do you think people get high levels?

 

MapleStory was a great concept to start out with. Leveling isn't TOO hard, 'cus there are quests and whatnot. Unfortunately, a lot of people get pretty mad when they spent like 6 months training a Crossbowman when they find out a new class (DualBladers) can totally kick their asses and level up faster. Yup, plus chatting is rather crazy, and finding bosses can be a pain. Otherwise, a great game.

 

I played it like 4 years ago. Didnt like it. others might but whatever =p

 

Maplestory is fun!

 

I agree with what a lot of people are saying -- MapleStory is good for a few weeks, at most. After that, it's basically just got more grind then a stripper trying to water-ski on pavement.

My experience with it was about six months ago, and very brief, but I had a friend who actually paid for 30 days of it. It was pretty lame, honestly. The premium membership doesn't get you much of an experience.

If the game had PVP, it would be alot better.

Sats said that the gameplay had been changed a bit. Not much grinding now. I do hope it's true =) I'm planning to start again soon

 

friends believe me....... I just started this game today and I am already addicted to it.

I heard that there are some vast changes after 2010 Decmber....... so I would like to say to the people who thought MapleStory as a horrible game, that it is actually a nice game. Also the cute animation and fast leveling system is really wonderful. I reached level 23 in 2-3 hours.....

I would say that this is a great game to play. At least one of the best 2D MMORPG.

I think that is not the game problem. It's your internet connection problem. I downloaded the game within 2 hours 39 minutes at a 400 KBPS speed. Also Nexon's server is really fast......

 

Maple Story is quite fun. Grinding may be bored but instead of that you can do some quests, talk with people, trade some stuff.

 

Pretty much every game like this has its grinding, though. I personally found AQW's spontaneous cap-raising infuriating--a player spends two weeks churning out that last level, only to log in one day and find out they have to do it all over again.

I haven't had much experience with MS, but from what I've played it seems okay. Definitely not the best I've played, not by a long shot, but...yeah. It's okay. Nothing special.

I love MapleStory...... and I am wondering why some people think that it doesn't have a nice story line.....
It does have a cute nice storyline...... also when the PVP come in NA version MapleStory would be more awesome!!
