My favorite hero (so far) is wolverine.

I got him during the father's day sale so no special costume or anything like that although the Patch costume is still pretty tempting. I've only got him to level 30 so far so this is a bit incomplete but right now I've been going for a fast crit build. It's just too much fun using his movement power, with near no fury cost, infinitely. Just fly around like a madman slicing everything up with the occasional smart alecky remark. He still hasn't said "bub" yet which is surprising but Steve Blum makes up for it. Using Wetworks to boost up most of my important stats, then using Berserker Rampage and seeing numbers all over the place in holo sim missions has definitely been a high point in the game so far.

That being said I'm still pretty early in to the game and I still want to try Nightcrawler and Strange out. So far my characters have been mostly melee based so a caster like Strange will be a nice change of pace.

 

With having about 10 level 60s, so far I've found my favorite to be Dr Strange. He has a great balance of range, utility, and AE skills to allow you to play him how you like. The only roadblocks you'll run into is running out of hotkeys for your skills.

I picked Daredevil as my starter hero back in the day, and I'm really glad I did pick him, especially after his latest update.

I love the whole 'combo' system he has going: whack some enemies with some nunchucks and sliding strikes and soon enough you have enough combo power to deliver a super hit that easily one-shots elites. Not only that, but by building and spending combo power, you reduce the cooldown of your signature move! No other class can use their signature power so quickly and repeatedly as Daredevil can due to this, and that makes it all the more sweet.

In short, Daredevil is a great melee hero where you can fluidly dodge, dip, and dive through enemies, while still delivering blows mighty enough to shatter their teeth. As Daredevil would say, "Case closed."

Pros: He is very fast and powerful. He has strong AOE abilities and decent single target abilities. His teleport and stealth allows him to get out of tough situations easily, and also make him great for clearing terminals/missions (teleport all the way to the end boss). He's just a fun hero to play and the need to be quick really keeps you engaged and makes every battle intense.

Cons: He is rather fragile, so if you are not paying close attention to what enemies are doing or if you are not using his stealth and teleport properly you will take serious damage. His abilities are very limited in power as well, meaning most builds focus around the same three or four attacks. He is also lacking in costumes; the two available for purchase are fairly similar.

Once you gear him out and get comfortable in his abilities Nightcrawler is highly recommended for post-game content.

My favorite hero thus far has been Squirrel Girl - I think the entire idea is hilarious, but the fact that she can actually hold her own is awesome. The fact that this game's a bit tongue in cheek with some heroes and totally serious with others is perfect.

I also really liked Loki. Despite being a mage, his clones make him decently tanky and he has a lot of nice tools to deal with various situations. Once you get his signature he really starts to shine though and can start to plow through pretty much anything that stands in his way. The only gripe I had with him was his ultimate power was a bit lackluster, but overall I thought he was a blast to play all the way to 60.

with the venom power, become stronger, faster.....

Just finished Black Widow, with an Ares axe legendary, with 2 Fandrals and 2 Helas. She's got really good burst from stealth, and decent sustain from her first tree DoT/melee ability. Keeping her mostly straight physical for the easy gear slotting, but straight energy also looks pretty viable. Seems like straight ranged would mostly be energy as well, haven't tested that out though.

I just enjoy zipping around the battlefield and stacking bleeds on everything that moves. Thanks to his very cheap movement power you never ever stop charging everywhere. On top of that he has so much health regeneration he might as well be immortal at the levels I'm playing. I like fast paced melee characters in games like this and he fits the bill.

This game is fantastic and will fast become an addiction. There are many heroes with a huge variety of skills and play style that will fit with anyone's sensibilities. The developer, Gazillion is extremely responsive and transparent with the community and I feel that they love the game as much as the players do. My main is Iron Man and I would like to try branching out more now.

If you play this game you will thoroughly enjoy yourself, and should definitely consider purchasing extra perks like more stash space.
