    World customization is one of my favorite things about Minecraft. I never mess around with it too much because I could end up creating a laggy world with way too much terrain, or a boring world. I usually just stick with the presets.

    This is pretty useful for map creators and if you want to have more power over what kind of world you are going to play in Survival mode, in this case this is a good feature in that regard. I don't personally mess around with these settings but i have tried it few times.

    Well I don't think every Minecraft customization world is too useful for map creators, because not everything is exactly perfect. The only custom world that I think is the most useful is the flat lands, but even then, map creators will have to add stuff to the world and maybe change the terrain depending on how they edit the world.
