    Rust is kind of limited since it's survival-only and multiplayer-only. Minecraft, on the other hand, gives you more options: single/multiplayer, survival/adventure/creative/etc., vanilla/modded.

    So I'd choose Minecraft. Rust doesn't even come close to Minecraft; I think a more fair comparison would be DayZ vs Rust.
