Nameplates / Name colors

Well that would just a great idea if you ask me.
Giving a nameplate like title under character's name would be the most suitable option let's say someone that bought guardian would get Guardian title and getting Dragon Guardian would give title of same name to use. Same thing with those different levels commitment to kickstarter: Founder, Epic Founder and Legendary Founder would also serve as good nameplates.

 

As a kickstarter backer i got a small "K" in my character status bar. I think that is enough as giving us different colored names could cause confusion as people may think backers are testers or staff members.

 

I thnk yeah Guardian/dragon guardians and kickstarters deserves a nameplate

 

Would not that bring an excess of unnecessary visual pollution? Could such information be put together with the character information?

 

Probably not name colors for name tags since that may confuse most players, but it would be cool to see symbols above or next to the player's name tag such as a crown and/or a Kickstarter symbol. For nameplates, it's fine how it already is, though I think nameplates could have some borders, especially unique ones for supporters.

Isn't there a logo on the hp bar in the hud, I've seen one's with a dragon wrapping around the helmet symbol,and there's a little "k" under the dragon's head.
I was under the impression this was the reward for being a kickstarter, am I wrong?

I think it would be great if Guardians got the letter 'G' on their nameplate, like how Kickstarter backers have the letter 'K' on their nameplate. It would be cool to see nameplates have letters as a symbol to how the player supported the game.

And speaking of letters, testers get the letter 'T' on their nameplate, whitehats get the letter 'W', moderators get the letter 'M', and developers oddly get the letter 'S' instead of the letter 'D'. I think the developer's nameplate should have a 'D' instead of an 'S' honestly, because 'S' makes no sense. If it means staff, then technically the testers, whitehats, and moderators are considered staff members as well.

Yeah totally agree with you!!! The nameplate letter should also appear when someone targets you cause its doesn't right now... You got to inspect and go to the char page to see if someone is a kickstarter backer..

 

Looking at the current nameplate concept, I personally like the Hero nameplate for its platinum color and simplicity, then the Kickstarter nameplate which is gold and simple. I find it odd that the AQ3D team would give regular Heroes one of the best-looking nameplates rather than something like a bronze nameplate or simply no nameplate at all. I find platinum to look a lot nicer than gold.

 

My answer is a big yes. Because kickstarters, guardians and dragon guardians is not for free and you have to spend real money on it. It has a lot of in-game benefits and badges. They are deserving to have a colored nameplate or a custom nameplate because without this players who spends cash, the game itself will die and as an avid fan of mmorpg games supporting it will be a big boost for the game company to release more updates and create new classes or items that will maintain the satisfaction of the premium players...

 

Name colors for Beta Players (Pre-Beta, Open Beta, Closed Beta, & Open Beta) cause they will know if we are beta players when the game goes live. There are lots of new characters in game, maybe we should add that to determine if the character in used in the game is a beta player.

yes i agree. there should be a seperate colour nameplate for guardians and dragon guardians
