I' not sure where to post this, but does anyone here have experience with high-level origami?

I've been trying to fold steps 7-8 of J.C Nolan's Braided paper, and I can't figure out what X-Ray view means.

So I would be delighted if anyone could help me.

Mods, if this is in the wrong area feel free to move it.

    Honestly?

    It says beginner.
I'd hardly be considered a beginner.

http://dev.origami.com/images_pdf/braided.pdf is what you're looking at, yes? frames seven and eight?

Let's go over what we know of the words. X-ray. Hmm.... isn't that something that allows you to, oh, look inside something? I wonder what that could mean... perhaps it's a view of what's inside?

    Lot's of stuff.

I mainly like Modular origami, and have designed two modules.

  10. I'm not the best at origami, but it is very interesting. I can make a crown though, if I can still remember how. My favorite origami would have to be the swan, the one with many triangle pieces. The swan origami has a lot of details in its feathers and a nice shape, but it sounds complex to make.

The star is the only one I could do.

I remember doing some origami activities like folding a fortune teller, star box, paper plane, ninja star, etc., at school, but I never remembered how to fold them.

  14. I think it's impressive how complex origami designs have become, especially to the point where they look realistic. For instance, here's an origami cactus created by Robert Lang:

And if I recall correctly, it's all from one large sheet of paper. I can't imagine how large that sheet of paper would have to be suffice the volume needed, or even the amount of time and the mathematics needed to accomplish such a feat.
