Battleswarm is the first ever online-based RTS versus FPS game. The concept of Battle Star Online will probably remind you a little bit of custom map settings for Starcraft where you control one ultimate Marine, or the movie Starship Troopers but you don't exactly just die in one hit.

The simple gameplay can be addictive and the option of being able to play two genres in one game keeps you from being bored. If you’re a fan of either genre, Battleswarm is worth trying.
You can get the free In-game cruuency packs to give this game a try from below link:

And Tremulous is open source...yay for OS!
Also, in RTS vs FPS, how does it work? One player controls the enemy as a RTS, and the other plays in FPS mode, killing the RTS players guys?

I saw a gameplay video, and it looks that way, but the aliens are being controlled in an RTS, so they're not as powerful, so there's tons of them compared to the FPS side in each battle.

I read the manual and I think it's different...
it sounds like it's a FPS, but with RTS elements, such as building and stuff...I'll download it when I get my CPU back and see.

    I'll find a video too...

Really? I went on the site, and it distinctly said that the alien side was RTS only, and the human side was FPS only. (Why can't the aliens get FPS? Why game company? Why? This is discrimination!!!!!!!!!!)

You is wrong. I set up a local server on my computer, (so less lag.) and aliens are FPS too...
:D You read it wrong. FPS, with RTS elements.

I remember I wanted to play Tremulous a while ago... I just can't remember why I decided not to. Either I found something else before I got to downloading it, or I had problems installing it or whatever.
