    Are set world sandboxes like GTA going to be included? The open world genre and sandbox genre are quite close, most set world games don't offer a complete sandbox but some get pretty deep. Anyways I suggest these three:

    Kerbal Space Program
    Besiege
    Everquest Landmark
    Wurm Online
    Ryzom
    EVE

    Maybe ArcheAge? It's kinda more themepark but definitely one of the more sandboxed MMOs with ship building, farming, house building etc.

    Good question. I say we stay away from MMORPGs as much as possible, especially ones that are in the directory already like Wurm and Eve. Added the first two:).

    You should add Zomboid to that list too :D its like 7 days to die but the gameplay is a bit different :D

    Honestly going by the list it would make a lot more sense to remove:

    Fortress Craft
    Trove
    Garry's Mod
    Kerbal
    Besiege

    Then rename it Survival Games because that seems to be what this is. Wurm is 100% player created. Landmark is a voxel sandbox gather/builder. It's not even an MMO with a limited number of players per-map. EVE is the original resource gather/build/survive game. Plus some of these are MMOs and almost all of them are already in the directory so I'm confused.

    I'm with Aaddron on this one. Especially with Minecraft and Terraria being excluded due to their having their own forums and "open world" games out as well, everything that would fit in a "sandbox" category when someone thinks of the term really already has its own established area it'd fit in, especially MMOs like EVE. A better case could be made for Survival Games, where many of them might also find a nice home in Indie but could be a solid core group themselves.

    Minecraft: Story Mode isn't sandbox. The point of the game is a structured game presenting a story in the Minecraft universe.
