Server Names

i would name it after characters we really know and care about in adventure quest 3d, stories for chars are not deep yet but hopefully they'll become like friends/family

I prefer it being named after anything other than the AQ3D staff members (to prevent favoritism because everyone wants a Korin server). I think naming the servers purely after dragons is also a bad idea, because it gives the impression that AQ3D is all about dragons, which it isn't. Even one of their logos has a dragon; yet, the game is focused on more than just dragons. I think server names should be based on non-staff NPCs instead, so some nice names would be:

• Twilly
• Zorbak
• Yulgar
• Gaz
• Campbell
  
• Robina

But of course, these NPCs would have to be recurring NPCs to be worthy of their own server name.

 

I'd rename it to Artix, Dage, etc. Any of the devs

They could also use creatures names:
1. Frogzard
2. Dragons
3. Trolluks
4. Seekers
5. Drickens
etc

Maybe add something else to those as well like color or a description!!!

 

I think it's fine with the current names. But if i really wanted to choose, I would go for staff names.

Europe finally got server(Green server), i had ping 250+ before and now its only 60ms

 

Green server was a must to do. I have no lag issues anymore thanks to that server.

 

Same here, only problem is that server doesnt have many ppl atm, but since they removed 1 more server, i wouldnt be surprised that we end up with only 2 servers eu and na, that would be awesome

 

Well, for making equal the servers, they can split up servers to regions. (Just like Green Dragon server)

For example:
Red Dragon [International]
Blue Dragon [International 2]
Yellow Dragon [America]
Black Dragon [Asia]
Green Dragon [Europe]

 

Never been a fan of region-based servers. It ends up separating players from other players, especially separating English-speaking players from bilingual players. Also it would be pretty hard to separate regions by entire continents; let's use Europe as an example. First issue is that United Kingdom players would be separated from American players, yet they both share a common language. The other problem is that Europe is culturally diverse, so it isn't one language; for example, there's Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, and the list goes on, so a European server sounds ridiculous.

The other problem is that region-based servers oftentimes cause more damage than good, especially if servers tend to have a low player count. There's no point in going to a region-based server, if the International server tends to have more activity going on.

They're mostly named after NPCs in the game, except for Yokai (SEA), Swordhaven (EU), and Espada. Personally I'm not a fan of how AQWorlds does their server names for those three servers since they break the pattern, and I think those three could be named after NPCs as well.

And the other thing I don't like about how AQWorlds does servers in general is that Yokai (SEA) and Swordhaven (EU) are marked as International servers, but AE tries to label them with (SEA, Southeast Asia) and (EU, European Union) to cater more towards that specific demographic. It just discourages other people (those who aren't from that region) from visiting those servers, and so those servers don't become as popular and the people who are from that region (SEA or EU) visit other (broader International) servers like Artix server instead because it's generally better to have a server with more people.

 

A good idea for server names besides NPC names would be areas of the game.
Battleon, Greenguard, Doomwood, Ashfall, Lolosia, etc.
Would you get all older players going to the Arcangrove server?
