Social Games

Hmm. I could do that, shouldn't be so hard to find news/announcements of social games. As for the reviews, I have two proposals on how to do it, and I'll like to know which might be better

The first one is the simple one. Simply post the entire reviews in new threads. Not much more than that.

The second one I had in mind, was to create one single thread, and then providing links to reviews that I review in the directory or the blog.

I ain't exactly sure which would be the best, but I could always try one of the options, and if that doesn't work out very well, try the other. ^^

 

Hmm.. Maybe we could create a thread for meetup, just like we have in other forums? I don't think we have one here (not sure), and in that thread write who to add, and what games that you play or something like that. Although I'm not sure that people want to share their personal facebook to other people, that they don't know in real life.

 

Zynga announced some time ago that they are going to shut down one of their oldest games, YoVille, by the end of March. The title has been around since 2008. YoVille is a casual game for people to play in a town-like community. It grew to a point where millions of people were playing it, and it spawned a whole series of “Ville” games, light-hearted simulations like FarmVille.

Some “YoVillians” are taking it hard and have started a grassroots campaign with more than 5,000 signatures to save YoVille. They’re threatening to boycott Zynga altogether if it doesn’t save the game.

When individuals log in to YoVille now, they’ll see a notice from Zynga about the difficult decision to shut down the game. The San Francisco firm is offering to give them gifts of virtual goods, like a bag of fertilizer, that they can use in other Zynga games: FarmVille 2, Zynga Poker, and Hit It Rich! Casino Slots.

In a statement, the company said, “Zynga recently made the tough decision to sunset YoVille so we can put more time and energy into developing new games for our players. Over the years YoVille developed a truly passionate community, and we thank our players for their dedication to the game. We look forward to delivering new and exciting social games that we hope our players will love playing with their friends and family as much as they loved YoVille.”

 

Tried YoVille some time ago, although personally it wasn't something for me. I do know that there where many people that were playing it. Not completely sure, but I assume that the players dropped, since otherwise they wouldn't close down.

 

Honestly, I'm not completely sure what to do, to protect your information xD I've never tried blocking some of my information or anything like that, for someone else. Although I do know that in some games, you can be friends with someone in the game, but not in Facebook. Don't know which games are like this, but have happened that someone tried to add me in a game, I accepted, but did not receive a friend outside the game

 

Although now I just found out that they changed their minds lol. It's future isn't exactly clear yet, but Zynga announced that they will not be closing down YoVille at the date that it was planned to go down.

Scared to get attached to it? xD If you are someone that quits a game fast, because it's hard, you don't have to worry though xD Met many people that stopped playing Candy Crush because they got stuck
