    geesh that's moronic law then. Heck I do data recovery and database restores on servers and I certainly don't have a PI license.

    I think, we got 10Mbit internet in Groningen in 2004, that's way before 2008 and downloading illegal MP3's was already big then. Sure the law making process is slow, but you can't exactly say it's when it started to grow.

    It's falls under the idea a policeman sees drugs on a seat in a car and they can search and make an arrest as they have probable cause. The drugs are available for use in trial. However if the policeman breaks into your car and finds drugs in the glovebox that can't be used as they had no right or reason to search your car in the first place.

    Basically they are trying to protect our rights but I'm sure they had other motives for the law... that or they were bored, we have the dumbest laws passed at times but that's the nature of a free country.

    It shows that Texas does not cater to technology entrepreneurs at all. Not sure on the enforcing of it, but this stupid law could ruin lives. Imagine having a business for 10 years and then being told all of the sudden what you are doing is illegal because you have to jump through a very small hoop. Heard that it takes about 3 years to get the license.

    Yeah and that's one of the possible ulterior motives for this, big business has no problem just replacing there guys or sending them to school. The small repair shops can't do that and they have no choice.
