I didn't use them until I lost my TV thanks to a storm. It sucks, hope you're able to get things straightened out.

 

Well, only my speakers and my PC suffered the shock, speakers ain't working completely and I had a 5.1 system I bought it few months ago which is almost new and on my computer the motherboard is kinda fried, the network card on it ain't working at all and maybe the sound card, which will they check for damage. I had a UPS to protect my PC by it obviously failed...
