(Tutorial) Find out what your Character ID is

    This is a small tutorial for those that are curious what their character id is. A character id is a unique string of numbers that represents you and is used to store data on your character. When you login, the server needs your character id to load all of your items and quest progress etc. On AQW it's very easy to find out what your character ID is, all you have to do is go to your house but on AQ3D it's hidden from public view.

    You can find out what your character ID is by logging into game.aq3d.com/Account and clicking on "Rename" and looking at the URL bar when you're on the page. The digits after ?charid= is your character ID. Ex: if it shows ?charid=36867 then your character ID is 36867.

    I think everyone's ID is above 36800, 0-36800 are staff members and old tech demo accounts. So if your ID is 36867 then you are the 67th person to create a character. If your ID is 40000 then you're the 3,200th person to create a character and so on.

    I've known about that technique for quite a while. There was an older technique when there was a reset button in the account management back in Pre-Beta, but after the reset button page was removed, there was no other way until the AQ3D name change page became the new method. I know certain testers and white hats have access to a command that displays character information which includes the player's name, gender, gold count, and character ID, though usually they're told not to use the command. You probably can get testers to whisper to you your character ID though, but I'm not too sure if they're allowed to do that either.
