What age you had your chicken pox?

I have never had symptoms of varicella-zoster virus throughout my childhood, or even up until now. It seems rare for anyone to get the virus in their teenage years, though not impossible. The virus is mostly common in children, but also in old adults (known as Shingles, but still derived from the same virus). One thing that I have heard is that those who have been exposed to the virus before usually become immune to developing Shingles in their later years.

 

I had it when i was under school age and i think i was around 4 or 5 years old.
I have a memory of me having chickenpox while i was in a bathtub taking a bath most likely because of symptoms of it.

 

I've never had Varicella yet, so the worst sickness I've ever went through was Influenza back in first grade. I was out for a whole week!

 

I never had chicken pox, I got Varicella when I was very young. I still pass by the clinic where I got the vaccine every morning.

Well i was lucky as well, but seriously it's unfortunate to hear that you had to experience it way later and get more potent symptoms. Good thing is that you won't experience it again so there's that considering that you should be immune to it now.

 

Would be better not to have varicella at all. I haven't had varicella at all, but it could be that I have a great immune system. I would definitely not want to deal with such an infection, especially since it's quite contagious. I don't know if I've ever met anyone who's had varicella.

That is good to hear considering it would be even worse, if you get it when you are older. I am glad that i got it when i was young as well!

 

I think I was five or six years old when I contracted the pox.

Yeah I heard it could be worse the older can be.
When I was young I had dengue fever instead of chicken pox.

 

I think age 4-5. It sucked. I remember picking the little bits out of my hair.
