    I would like to create the basis of a game, but in order to do so, I need the community's opinion. In this thread, I invite you to share with us the things you enjoy about a game whether it is mmorpg, fps, rts, hack n slash ... name it, I want to know what the majority of us live for.

    Example:
    I appreciate mmorpgs with:
    1. Character customization.
    2. Balanced classes.
    3. A lot of skills.
    4. A good story line.
    5. Interactive environnement.

    *Feel free to leave some feedback (could be 1 thing or more, up to you). Anything you'll say will be helpful.

    In a free MMORPG, I look for story, graphics, and character customization. I also look at what micro-transactions the game has, and consider whether they're good or bad for the game in terms of gameplay and balance.

    Well these things i am usually looking for:
    • A lot of things to explore.
    • Combat that is in a good shape.
    • A lot of things to customize your character with (cosmetics and etc).
    • Multiple ways to progress your character.
    • Movement based abilities or just other ways to move around besides walking/running.
    • Trading system or/and Auction House.
    • Items with procs or passives (like a chance increase attack power for few seconds or give a flat stat increase when requirements are met).
    • Hard-to-get items in terms how big amount of work to has to be put into it to get it (that are not necessarily required for normal progression).
    • Micro-transactions which will not give others a large advantage compared to others that don't utilize them.
    • Good storylines and characters.
    • Fun items like toys to play around with when bored.
    • PVP (i am not into it much myself but they are a lot of people that are and i am trying to change this).
    • Guild system with quirks (not really into them but i am trying to change that).
    • House system with some kinds of quirks.
    • Finally all around a good game experience that i can get out of it and go back into without many regrets.
