What do you think of breeding in Palworld?

In Palworld, you can breed two different pals of different genders to get an egg for a pal. Not only can you breed pals in order to complete your Paldeck (i.e. some are exclusive to breeding such as Elphidran Aqua), but you can also pass abilities from parent pals to the next generation pal, and can craft a desirable pal (like a speedy mount for traveling).

For me, I like Palworld's breeding system more than any other creature catching game's, notably the abilties that actually have significant effect to the overworld interaction. I also like the exclusivity factor of breeding, and the fact that you actually have to select the parents (requires more thinking whereas in games like Pokemon, you could just breed Ditto which just feels flat).

Only thing that's kind of sluggish is farming for cake, but you can get most of the ingredients by collecting gold from chests or by building a ranch for specific pals for those ingredients.
