    the best thing you can make is probably a redstone repeater or redstone torch so you can use it in redstone mini games :p

    Game's changed so much since Microsoft's acquisition.

    Weapons used to be valuable, then shields became more valuable, but axes are the one weapon that can counteract shields.

    Diamond armor used to be valuable, but then Netherite made armors more useful.

    Golden Apples used to be useful for trying to survive, but then Totem of Undying came along, although you can't craft Totems. And you can't craft Notch apples anymore, only regular Golden Apples. Resource-wise, I think Golden Carrots are better unless you're playing hardcore mode where Golden Apples might be handy in certain circumstances.
