What is the most annoying thing during your gaming experience?

I hate having a slow connection and my crappy slow connection causes lag

Hackers. I find it pathetic that people suck that much at a game that they need to cheat in order to feel good about themselves.

What I really dislike in games is twofold --

The inability to have my character engage in an action I am competent to perform, either because my computer runs the game poorly, my internet connection is poor, or the game is flawed. If I suck at the game and my failure is a result of lack of skill I'm much more humble and less angry about anything.

Second is when I have to rely on a teammate who doesn't perform very well as my ally. In lots of FPS games like BFBC2 or L4D I feel like the random people I play with do not really put in effort to succeed. When a point is being captured or a teammate is down, nobody bothers to do it but me. When I do try, nobody backs me up to make sure we don't lose. It really gets frustrating, and I'm not even a great player. I dont get massive killstreaks (usually) and I suck at aiming. So why am I the only guy defending the capture point while we lose round after round?

This is very true. It's gotten better it seems.
It used to be you couldn't enter a room and win without being booted, calling a noob or hacker, or being mocked by players who think they are the best and then you beat them the first game. Particularly one team of two high-ranked players who think they are the most awesome thing to play Splash.

Almost all of them except the last one...my computer usually takes like..2 mins.

 

Certainly a rude community. Thankfully, all of the games I frequent have pretty decent followers. Lag is up there too--there are few things more aggravating than a spike that messes up your strategy or rhythm.

Though, the greatest annoyance of mine is ragequitters. Some people just need to grow up, realize that there are better players than them, and take a loss.

That's right, poor lil' Tsu can't take dem snakes.

Unfortunately, I see the most ragequitting in fighters, my primary genre, which makes me sad.

 

A poor community is the worst for me.... Bad players can kill an awesome game.
