This is the eighth match of GameOgre.com’s MMORPG Showdown 8. This annual tournament determines the best MMORPG out of 16 games. The winner will be named MMORPG of the Year. GameOgre.com also has a Prediction Contest for forum members each year for a $10 Ultimate Game Card (UGC).

Not only is this the premier match of the first round, it also closes the first round. In fact, this match-up could have easily been the championship match if these two games did not meet so soon in the tournament. Both games are well-made, have received great reviews, and have been played on Ogre Game Time days. Neverwinter would get the slight edge there as it seemed to work better for GameOgre members to join for smashing party fun.
