Great article, I also look at the metacritic score and critical reception of games before I buy them, not only games but for music as well. It’s not the only thing I look at but it comes into the equation.

Not really a fan of VR, it’s fascinating what kind of technology the world can bring these days but I feel it’s a reach that it would ever replace current gaming.

Doing your research before buying a console is a definitely a good idea, choose the console that best suits your gaming or entertainment needs.

If you’re a casual gamer and you only play for 1-2 hours then you probably won’t need one but if you play for longer periods of time then it would definitely be a good idea to invest in one.

Agree on multiplayer games evolving, I remember when the only thing that came to mind when you heard “Sandbox” or “Survival” were Minecraft or COD Zombies, now it’s become a whole genre.
