  • Guessing the game is referring to Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga. It’s an old game from 2003, but it looks very outdated when it comes to graphics. Gameplay is kind of nice, building around a traditional turn-based strategy style. But when comparing this game to more modern online card games, this game is probably below average. I’d rate this…[Read more]

  • It’s an average card game. The game dates all the way back to 2006, but the game looks kind of crisp with clean graphics, so I’m guessing the developers have updated this game over the years which is actually nice for a game this old. Plus this game has a comic-like theme to it. You do have about 1,500 collectible cards in total, so there’s room…[Read more]

  • Not the best game in my opinion. It kind of faces the same issue as WWE Supercard, in that when you see a certain brand or title, you’d expect it to be headed towards a certain genre. For instance, when I see something like “World of Tanks”, I would think the best genres to fit the name of the game would be strategy or third-person shooter, and so…[Read more]

  • It’s an alright game, but not exactly what I would expect for a wrestling-themed game, especially to blend the wrestling theme into a card battle game. And although the genre combined with the theme is a strange combo, the game itself isn’t so bad. The game brings in wrestlers from the WWE series in the form of cards and has a setting just like a…[Read more]

  • Been a long time since I’ve used iTunes; last time I used it was for my iPod Touch, and not even for games. Honestly, I just download mobile games that I want to play from the Apple App Store instead; I don’t really know anybody that uses iTunes anymore, even in 2021.

  • I think game development varies. Small (successful) indie game companies can only do so much, and so it’s common practice for them to keep their games at a smaller scope. But bigger game companies are probably more likely to explore advancements, because they’re just better-equipped for large-scaled games.

  • Depends on the situation. I’ve had times where I would play free games and they just weren’t as fun, and that sometimes discouraged me from playing pay-to-play games (i.e. games that cost money, but could be played forever) which were much better in many ways.

In other words, starting off with free games, especially as a beginner, sets…[Read more]

  • Definitely a lot of ways that people can get addicted to games. I think genre and play style also play a major role, especially with how a game is presented. For instance, with action games, people tend to be more addicted because of the competitive nature of these games. And even outside of these genres, you kind find competitive nature in…[Read more]

  • Pretty good FPS. Graphics is alright; not a huge fan of the fog environment in the world map and I feel like a few shaders could improve the graphics, but it’s above average. Gameplay seems more multiplayer-focused with two games with 4 objective types, so that’s kind of neat, though kind of standard for any FPS game. And it’s military based, and…[Read more]

  • Quite amazing how this game mixes the music genre with top-down shooter, plus I like how you can add your own song and play the game to the beat of that song. And not just that, but this game also has difficulty settings. The way I would describe it, it’s kind of like Vector Stunt by DigYourOwnGrave in that you can add your own music and play the…[Read more]

Pretty amazing FPS, especially for an FPS that’s not just browser-based, but also has really great graphics, looking a bit realistic. It is running on Unity 3D after all, and Unity browser games tend to look amazing. As for the gameplay itself, it’s not too different from other shooter games such as Counter Strike, just that it’s more convenient…[Read more]

  • It’s an old open-world shooter from 2009; I feel like the game is a bit outdated now that it could use a remaster or a remake. For instance, I’m just not a huge fan of the graphics; the 3D with black outlines just looks so bad in my opinion. Not sure if the intent was to make the game look more comic-esque, but it looks terrible. Gameplay, on the…[Read more]

  • Amazing sandbox shooter, far better than Ace of Spades in my opinion and different enough that you can’t call this game “just another Minecraft clone”. Game’s style is pretty good as it deviates from purely just cube blocks like in many other voxel games; for instance, you have stairs that are more like ramps, you have objects like traffic cones…[Read more]

  • One thing to realize about game reviews is that overall reviews tend to be leaned more negatively. And I think it’s just that if someone has a bad experience, they’ll go out of their way to review those bad experiences. But if someone has a good experience with a game, they’re more likely to just keep playing the game and not review those positive…[Read more]

  • Unfortunately a lot of these browser games are dead now, especially the ones that run on Flash. And of all the RPGs listed in the article, the only one I’ve played is Sonny, which I played in 2009. I’ve never heard of any of the other RPGs.

  • Mobile games for the most part are safe, especially if you get the games from the Apple App Store or from Google Play since these platforms have to verify that apps meet their requirements. What isn’t safe would be downloading some Android APK and installing it on a phone, because you might not trust the developer or there might be some shady…[Read more]

  • Android and iOS seem to be quite popular when it comes to driving games. I think driving games are also great for high-end mobile devices, especially to show off technical and graphical prowess since developers can really shine in those aspects, especially when better hardware allows for compactness, performance, and aesthetics.

    I will say,…[Read more]

  • Not bad, but it kind of deviates from Spore (the 2008 game). It’s more of an action role-playing game with more of a heavy sci-fi theme which is different than the life simulation / strategy game of Spore. It’s just different, and for someone that’s thinking about playing Darkspore expecting some sort of sequel after playing Spore, it’s easy to…[Read more]

  • It’s an alright game. Graphics aren’t the best; I think the art can use more colors, especially around edges to create a bit of anti-aliasing. Gameplay on the other hand is kind of interesting since it’s a mix of puzzle and simulation. But perhaps what I like most about this game is that there are 20 possible different endings, so you can play…[Read more]

  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has old graphics, but it’s definitely more of an improvement over its predecessary The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for its graphics. And the setting is pretty nice as well, a bit more like your traditional fantasy with emphasis on castles. But I feel like Oblivion tends to be somewhat more forgettable in the Elder…[Read more]
