Pretty good game, especially for those looking for a sci-fi MMORPG that isn’t “just another simulation game”. I like the name of the game, because in a lot of MMORPGs, you really do start the game off with a clean slate and the name is quite fitting for this game. Combat is a bit closer to a third-person real-time shooter game though, and I like…[Read more]

  • Doesn’t seem too bad. Character models look kind of clunky, but at least there are customization options. You can pick out which race (human, sylph, shura, and sprite) and customize attributes like hair, face, head, chest, body, hand, and foot. As for gameplay, my biggest complaint is that text is just hard to read. And despite being a 3D game,…[Read more]

  • Didn’t know about the web version, but there’s a mobile version. The game is simple and addicting, just like other mobile games such as Flappy Bird, Doodle Jump, and Temple Run. I would say that the game is kind of like a mix of Doodle Jump and Flappy Bird with a bit of some color matching element. It’s like Doodle Jump in that you have to…[Read more]

Game feels a bit dated, especially when it comes to graphics and artwork. Graphics/artwork just doesn’t really emphasize 2.5D that well since there aren’t shadows, and objects like trees and buildings somehow feel out of proportion. Nevertheless, this game might be great for those looking for an old-school RPG experience. Doesn’t seem like any…[Read more]

Looks cool; full name of the game is Luminary: Rise of the Goonzu. Graphics is really nice, especially the anime art style for characters and NPCs. Gameplay feels old-school since it is 2.5D isometric, but also feels a bit more casual than other MMORPGs since it has things like its own economic system. But you also have traditional RPG elements…[Read more]

Pretty good MMORPG. Just looking at the character creation screen, it looks like there’s a good variety of classes, but not so much customization. Classes are gender-locked (e.g. Fighter/Summoner/Priest locked to male and Ranger/Sorceress/Arcus locked to female) and race-locked (Arcus is locked to Dark-Elf while every other class is Human). World…[Read more]

I’ve tried MU Origin, but not MU Online. But looking at MU Online, the game looks pretty fun. The game is from 2001 and features an isometric world, but the graphics seems pretty good for a game this old, especially since the game uses adequate lighting and has a distinct-looking overworld (with flowing grass). Not a lot of classes to choose from…[Read more]

This game dates back to around 2003-2004. Graphics-wise, it’s not so bad; it’s an isometric 2.5D game, but the textures are pretty good and you even have shadows (like next to trees) to make objects kind of stand out more. Game has plenty of characters/classes to choose from, and the story which takes place in the continent of Prandel seems kind…[Read more]

  • Snowy commented on the post, Ferion 3 years, 3 months ago

Title of the article says Ferion, but description is about Fiesta. Anyway, Ferion is a space-themed turn-based strategy game from 1999 with elements of empire-building developed by Hail of Bullets Software. It’s an alright game, but does not really look as fun, especially since a lot of space-themed strategy games can feel somewhat dull and Ferion…[Read more]

  • Looks pretty good. This game is in 3D with excellent graphics, rich in colors and detailed with things like actual blades of grass rather than grass textures. Gameplay feels nice as well, almost comparable of the Diablo series, and just full of dungeons. Really solid game, just unfortunate that this game had to shut down in 2010. Overall, I’d rate…[Read more]

  • It’s an old MMO that dates back to 2007 for the North American release. Has an isometric look to it, but the 2D graphics is actual pretty good with rich colors and an anime art style. Gameplay is kind of unique compared to other MMOs, since it features cards, rather than your traditional MMORPG skill system, so that’s pretty cool. The game did…[Read more]

  • For a game that dates back to 2006-2007, the graphics are actually amazing, and it’s the first thing that I noticed. The game even won a 2006 Korean Presidential Award for Best Graphics, so definitely well-deserved. The theme is quite unique as well, since it’s a bit of fantasy with some theme based on the Baroque time period. Game music is pretty…[Read more]

  • Snowy commented on the post, BattleMaster 3 years, 3 months ago

Game is kind of obscure to find since BattleMaster appears to be a common keyword in search engines, but I think I finally found it after typing BattleMaster RPG. Seems kind of cool, but a very old browser game. The site for the game describes it as being lightweight and slow paced, so I’m guessing the main demographic would be casual players.…[Read more]

  • Snowy commented on the post, Lands of Hope 3 years, 3 months ago

Seems kind of interesting. Not sure if it’s the exact same Lands of Hope or if it’s a sequel, but there’s Lands of Hope Redemption which has its own Steam page. It’s a 2D RPG with MMORPG elements, so I’m guessing it’s Lands of Hope, just with a rebranded name. Graphics feels quite old-school, but game seems like it’s chock-full of content.…[Read more]

It’s a neat MMORPG. Graphics is a mix of good and bad; character models seem pretty good and game uses an adequate amount of bloom and lighting, but textures aren’t the best, especially with the grass in the overworld which just don’t stand out that well. Pretty good selection of classes with six to choose from though, but unfortunately classes…[Read more]

Not bad, but different from other space MMOs since it’s 2D and it’s a browser game. Tiled turn-based gameplay feels unique, but kind of outdated. Game isn’t as cohesive since there are navigation links you need to click if you want to do things like visit the trading outpost. But overall, I’d rate this game a 3.25/5; game just needs an overhaul.

  • Snowy commented on the post, Martial Heroes 3 years, 3 months ago

It’s an alright MMORPG. Not the best graphics, and you can easily tell from the textured graphics. Combat is kind of cool though, especially the skill system. Game is a bit lacking on story, but you can probably have some fun with the PvP in the game. Overall, I’d rate this game a 3.65/5.

  • Seems like a fun standalone. This one has amazing cinematics with pretty good voice acting, and the graphics actually looks nice, especially the bloom. Game is probably more PvE focused than PvP focused, especially since there’s a greater focus on the plot. Overall, I’d rate this standalone a 4.6/5; I can definitely see myself getting entrenched…[Read more]

  • Snowy commented on the post, Auto Assault 3 years, 3 months ago

Looks pretty fun, especially since it’s a car-themed MMO which aren’t as common. Feels very much like an MMORPG with features like PvP and crafting being most of the core gameplay. But compared to other car MMOs like Drift City, I do think I prefer Drift City over Auto Assault since that game has a better presentation and is more about racing than…[Read more]

Another pirate-themed MMO, but this one has graphics that’s richer in color and looks a bit more anime-ish. Personally I like the style of this game, and I think that makes it stand out more than the other pirate-themed MMOs. It’s available on Steam, and it looks like it receives frequent updates, so it’s nice that this game’s alive. Features seem…[Read more]
