  • Solitaire games are fun to play every once in a while. I don’t really keep up with all of the variations of the game since the differences are minute. And there’s always a different strategy depending on how the game is set up, with some versions allowing you to reshuffle if there are no possible moves left until you can make a move, some versions…[Read more]

  • Population and accessibility is definitely a factor in the growth of online games. India and China alone have the world’s largest populations, and devices like phones are becoming incredibly accessible which allows for game companies to grow more. I think that’s the main reason why mobile games are especially big.

  • Phones have improved quite a lot, so it’s no surprise there’s a shift in mobile gaming. You have better cameras, accelerometers, touch control, haptic feedback, and much more for a device that fits in a pocket. Some games don’t even make full use out of these features, but it allows for a variety of unique mobile games.

Game might have been released in 2005, but it looks really great; it’s rich in vibrant colors and the 3D models aren’t that bad. Game was originally pay-to-play, but I think it became free-to-play when the rights to the game was given to Gravity Interactive. I like the concept of seven planets as worlds to explore, but I don’t think every planet…[Read more]

Pretty good RTS, I would say. Graphics might not be the best, but it looks much better than games that predate it like Age of Empires. Vanilla gameplay is alright. But I think what makes Glest pretty good is that the game’s fully moddable, with the most popular forks for modding being Glest Advanced Engine and MegaGlest. Overall, I’d rate this…[Read more]

Looks like a pretty good third-person shooter. Really like the sci-fi theme, especially with the mech characters (Mechanaughts) which are also customizable. Game has your typical shooter game modes like Death Match, Team Death Match, CTF, and a mode called Territory Control (which is described as being similar to Battlefield). Unfortunately the…[Read more]

Seems average. I probably wouldn’t compare it to Maplestory for graphics since the characters just look tiny in the overworld, but it does have side-scrolling elements. I feel like Windslayer is closer to feeling more like Maplestory than Ghost Online is. But the graphics is pretty good; I really like the attention to details in the overworld and…[Read more]

It’s kind of a cool game. Not as fun as action-based games like Brawlhalla since GunBound is only turn-based, so it’s much closer to games like Atomic Tanks and Scorched Earth. I think technically, this game belongs in the “artillery” sub-genre. It can get boring after a while though, but the graphics in this game’s pretty good. Overall, I’d rate…[Read more]

  • Kind of makes sense Facebook would want to be involved with Unity, considering Facebook has its own social games and was already involved in Oculus VR.

  • It’s pretty easy to search for free games on Steam. Right now, the ones that I see recommended from Steam’s most popular are CS:GO, Dota 2, Apex Legends, Splitgate (Beta), Destiny 2, Warframe, Team Fortress 2, and Brawlhalla. A lot of them are PvP games though.

  • I remember when Yooka-Laylee was first announced, and so many Banjo-Kazooie fans were excited for it. I’ve always wondered why Banjo-Kazooie for almost 20 years never had a sequel, but it’s nice that there’s a sequel.

  • I’ve tried Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s probably one of the best free-to-play multiplayer games for the console. Even if you’re not into soccer, it’s still a fun game.

  • Aside from dated graphics, game seems to have quite a lot of content. From what I’ve seen, the game has 12 races and 16 classes, which is pretty impressive for a fantasy MMORPG this old. Also has other aspects of MMORPGs like realms (1 of 3 to choose from), crafting, tons of quests, and much more. Game looks fun, if you’re looking for a ton of…[Read more]

  • Quite an old game. Even for a game that was released in 2007, it’s not that great. Despite being a 3D game, you have to click on the overworld to move around. But gameplay-wise, it’s pretty good. Game has quests, dungeons, mounts, shops, and PvP. Overall, I’d rate this game a 3.5/5; I think it’s just average.

Looks pretty fun. Kind of reminds me of Dance Dance Revolution since you have to press the right combination of buttons and time it right as well. Also like that there are anime characters dancing in the background since that makes the game feel lively, especially with the music playing. Not sure if you can upload your own music for this game, but…[Read more]

Doesn’t seem too bad, minus the dated graphics with poor textures, but to be fair, the game dates all the way back to 2002. Game seems to have a bit of a story, since after creating a character, the game transitions to some cutscenes; and it seems to have 13 chapters worth of story looking through the guides section on the Steam page for this…[Read more]

Kind of a cool game, though graphics are a bit dated since this game is from 2006. I like the Western theme though; for instance, the game has a saloon, has cowboys, etc. Also the game is quite unique for this genre, especially since there aren’t a lot of tactical strategy games with a Western theme. And I think it’s kind of cool how it’s a hybrid…[Read more]

  • A gaming laptop, a handheld gaming console, and even a smartphone is good, especially if you commute to college. I just don’t see lugging a gaming PC being a viable option since it just isn’t as portable.

Gaming laptop is probably the best option, because it’s great for both schoolwork and gaming. For instance, maybe you have to write an essay,…[Read more]

  • The first game I think of, when I think of fantasy weapons, would probably be Terraria, not so much World of Warcraft or Diablo 3. There’s just a huge abundance of weapons in Terraria, and the weapons are creative since they have various gimmicks that you just don’t see in other games. For instance, weapons like the Rainbow Gun and the Meowmere…[Read more]

  • It just seems like an overpriced pair of glasses in my opinion, and a lot of things tagged with “gaming” tend to be that way. At the very most, I would personally just stick to designer glasses and maybe get a blue light filter. And at the very least, I would just lower the brightness on my computer monitor and download a filter like f.lux to…[Read more]
