I think League’s success is almost like Fortnite’s success. When you conquer an entire genre, you can shape is however you want. In this case, League of Legends shaped the MOBA genre to what it is today, and that’s why the game’s a frontrunner in the eSports world.

Looks interesting. I think I heard about 2Dots long time ago for mobile, but I’ve never personally played it.

Among Us has definitely shaped online gaming, at least when it comes to social games, and I think it’s success is largely due to lockdowns all over the place. I think it takes the place for most influential and entertaining game for 2020 and even 2021.

Forget Alder Lake chips; the M2 chips on the next MacBooks will probably blow all of the other chips away, and depending on the game, playing on a MacBook wouldn’t actually be too bad. For PC, I prefer AMD’s Ryzen chip family.

It’s worth it, if you can actually trust the brand servicing you the VPN service, but you should be cautious with how VPN companies advertise their service. You could look up Kitboga’s video “VPN Companies Are Lying To You” for better insight of why you might not want a VPN.

But on the flip side, aside from “privacy” that VPNs talk a great deal about, I think the real good reasons to use a VPN is just to change location (like if you want to change what ads you see on websites or even change the frequency of ads, or if you want to get better connection by connecting to servers close to a particular location).

It’s kind of interesting that gaming is taking relevance in academia, but not surprising considering the demographic is comprised of young adults, especially high school graduates that have the scholarship to partake in higher education.

Colleges and universities are much different than what they were decades ago. They used to be more about earning the prestige to be eligible to work in more advanced fields, where really only a handful of people would enter colleges/universities. But now colleges/universities are more about the social experience where most of the youth feel compelled to enter due to the rising job market and demands for college degrees.

Most people don’t really think about hobbies that celebrities are interested in, but more of what these celebrities do to be famous. It would be kind of interesting if there was some Q&A interview for celebrities where they’re asked the question of what their favorite video game is.

Gamification in the business world would actually be quite handy, a way to incentivize people by structuring business as if it were a game to compete in, but how it would be applied would really depend on the subject matter of that business. Not sure how different it would be in different environments, but the closest experience for me has been competing in a subject-based jeopardy-style game in academia where the reward is bonus extra credit for an exam, as a way to enhance learning. In other words, gamification works effectively in academia, and it could work well as a learning experience or skill enhancement in other places.

I think the best gift depends largely on what the gamer is interested in and especially how often they’ll use it. Usually gaming peripherals that have a largely functional purpose are the best choice, things like headsets, mouse, etc. Some things that are less functional and more aesthetic, like LED strips, acoustic wall panels (could be somewhat arguable, if the gamer does streaming), etc. would be more subjective.

iMovie is pretty good. Actually, a lot of the apps that Apple makes (iTunes, iMovie, iCloud, Xcode, etc.) are pretty good quality.

One in six is actually pretty high, and probably should be concerning to the point that there ought to be certain restrictions. That’s almost 17% of children buying loot boxes by stealing their parents money. Of course, the responsibility should also be on the parents to safeguard their belongings.

HD displays are definitely amazing, from gaming monitors to even laptops like the new Macbooks.

GoldenEye 007 is still one of my favorites. And watching speedruns of that game is even more interesting.
