I feel like the real success of Wii Sports is the bundling of the game for the Wii, rather than actual interest in the game. Like if not for the game being bundled for the Wii, Wii Sports might not have become as successful as it is.
But Tetris and Minecraft are for sure pretty great games. Some people might think Tetris is dead (aside from new installments like Tetris Effect) since it’s a game from the late 80s and early 90s, but it’s very much alive; I’ve been watching competitive NES Tetris for some time and it’s amazing seeing new strategies for the game come up.

ogreman wrote a new post, Is Mac a Gaming Laptop? Here’s the Answer 3 years, 9 months ago
There’s this common disbelief surrounding Mac computers: Macs aren’t designed for games. On the contrary, you will find that Macs provide their users with the best gaming experience in their class.
However, it […]

I wouldn’t personally use a Macbook for gaming, but I would imagine it’s very plausible. Like for instance, you have the new Apple M1 chip which is supposedly one of the best CPU and GPU chips for any Apple device right now; I think the M1 is even considered the fastest CPU core with the best performance.
But the main reason why I wouldn’t recommend Macbook for gaming isn’t because of battery, specs, or performance. It’s more that developers design games with Windows in mind first, before any other operating system, so you have a larger trove of games on Windows than you do on Mac.

ogreman wrote a new post, Dota 2 or LoL: Which MOBA is better? 3 years, 9 months ago
One inquiry, more established than numerous Fortnite players – Which MOBA is better: Dota 2 or League of Legends? Both fruitful, both with an incredible fanbase. Yet, we should investigate two of the greatest […]

Personally I’d probably play a different MOBA since I’m more of a casual player. Dota 2 just has a steep learning curve and both games have matches that can take on average 45 minutes to play which just feels too long. If I really had to choose, I’d probably choose League of Legends, but for entertainment (like watching people play), probably Dota 2 since I think it’s a bit more competitive which just adds a bit more appeal.

Security is a major factor in online gaming.. good to see companies evolving to keep players , free to play and paying customers safe.. Blizzard is one I remember doing a great job with the authenticators.. any extra safety helps !
-
Two-factor authentication’s a pain to deal with in my opinion; I don’t like being inconvenienced with having to verify my login with another device.
I think security for online gaming in general is over-the-top. I mean, it’s understandable for well-known players, especially streamers and other popular figures, to have an extra layer of security, but for the average gamer, it’s not something I’m too concern about. But the one thing to avoid, probably the most important thing to avoid, is using the same password for every online game, because if one game account gets compromised, then every other game account is technically compromised (and it’s a pain trying to change the password on every game, especially since you might forget a game or two).

Seems pretty good; not as much selection of games since this article was published early before big announcements like E3. But after watching trailers from E3, I think the game I’m most excited about is Metroid Dread, since the Metroid series has been kind of under the radar for about 20 years.
