ogreman wrote a new post, 7 Best Hidden Object Games for PC 4 years, 4 months ago
Ever seen someone play a point-and-click game looking for hidden clues and matches? Well, they are called hidden object games. Most of us have not heard of this genre but they are actually one of the oldest game […]
-
I don’t know any of the games that are shared in this editorial but I remember the times I play hidden object games on Facebook. Good old days.
-
I have seen these kinds of games made for mobile phones. That kind of market is going to end up having games like this.
-
Yes, those kinds of games generally being released for mobile anymore.
-
-
Just tried Odysseus yesterday and I recommend this game to everyone who loves play hidden object games!
-
Of all the point-and-click games, I find games that are based on hidden objects to be quite fun since there’s a lot of interactions. They tend to be underrated compared to other games though.

ogreman wrote a new post, The Emergence of League of Legends as an Exciting Esports Preference 4 years, 4 months ago
If the question is how famous Esports is, the answer would be 85% of Americans have played esport games at least once. And 65% play a minimum of once in a year. Esports have always been one of the excellent opt […]
-
Emergence? When you go search for games with esports scenes, LoL is bound to come up and it’s pretty hard to not know it having one.
-
Absolutely agree with you!
-
-
League of Legends has been dominating competitive gaming for a pretty long time now, so it’s no surprise that it comes up in esports given the nature of the game. However, over the past few years, I feel like the Battle Royale genre has overtaken the MOBA genre, not just in popularity, but in the esports scene.

I didn’t know there was an education edition for Minecraft. Thanks for the blog.
-
I find it strange that this editorial has a picture of Minecraft: Education Edition on it and there is nothing written about it. It would made sense to have a section for it, if you are committing to putting using a picture of it.

I know right. Actually, that is why I clicked and entered to this editorial. But maybe this editorial is not fully completed yet, some additional content can be added soon, I hope.

Browser games are harder to find now that Flash is discontinued on major browsers. But other games like MMORPGs, MOBAs, and Battle Royales are pretty much all over the place, especially the latter two since they’ve had a lot more focus in recent years. It’s so easy to find MOBAs and Battle Royales on Steam or on a mobile app store.

It has barely even been a month and these kind of stuff is already out? I am surprisingly not that amazed.
-
The most important one is customer service support in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!
-
It can be a bit iffy with services like this, but some of them do deliver.
-
-
Good customer support is always important, things like protecting customer privacy, having 24/7 accessibility, and having experts to help you. Sometimes customer support for other games and game services are shady (since their message isn’t clear or parts of their terms and conditions use loose definitions), but it looks like Valorant is committed to upholding their services.

I know right! Maybe I can give it a shot too!
-
Animal Crossing games are very laid back and if you are into that kind of thing, I would suggest you to try it out.
-
-
-
CoD Warzone seems to be a really great game. Loved watching it’s gameplay videos.
-
I played it yesterday and it was really awesome! I will keep playing it for sure.
-
-
Call of Duty was one of the best games in PC and its mobile and Battle Royale version can be worth playing. I can try it soon.
-
Animal Crossing: New Horizons managed to do a lot for many and it was just that kind of a game that many didn’t know they could enjoy. Bridges were crossed and all that.
-
I like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, because it’s really the best game for escapism from the worldwide lockdowns. Like you can’t travel to a beach or an island paradise in real-life with travel restrictions and other things happening, but in New Horizons, you create your own island paradise. And the nature of the game being a simulation game makes it a perfect candidate for a game worth playing during lockdowns.

ogreman wrote a new post, Online Video Games Improve Vision 4 years, 5 months ago

-
Always thought and was told that it impairs vision. The myth buster was a good point for me to learn. I do agree the games I play have also improved my hand eye coordination and ability to spot things quick.
-
I agree with Xctroy. When I was a kid, my family kept telling me it impairs vision. They killed my professional gamer soul. I could be gaining lots of money from gaming right now, but I don’t unfortunately. 😀
-
Just don’t play with your eyes literally touching the screen. That can really strain your eyes.
-
I think whether video games improve vision depends on many factors. When you look at a screen all day, you’re not really perceiving depth, so prolonged gaming could impair vision; that’s really why you need to sit at a comfortable distance from the screen, but also take breaks (the 20-20-20 rule). But on the contrary, hand-eye coordination is probably the biggest benefit of gaming; like if you’re playing competitively, you always have to be vigilant, so it’s kind of like survival instincts in a way and good eyes were evolutionarily trained for survival.

NFS and Burnout used to be my top played games for quite some time
-
Need For Speed was a revolution in car games for sure! I played it so many times too.
-
-
I am happy to see that Grand Turismo appeared on this list, twice! Can’t have a list of racing games without it.
-
It is as cool as NFS! Never played it, but watching its videos on Youtube is fun too.
-
-
Pretty good racing games, but I’m surprised Mario Kart didn’t make the list of best racing games considering it’s the best racing series of all time (right above Need for Speed). If it’s because of accessibility (since the games are typically made for a specific console), then there is the alternative, which is Mario Kart Tour available for smartphones.

Surely, it does.

-
Some people said DOTA2 is killed by LoL but it shows DOTA2 stands as strong as its first days.

It’s important to have choices when it comes to playing games and MOBAs definitely need that variety and not just have one game that literally everyone plays who share that interest.

Definitely agree with you! Variety is good.

-
There sure are modes to choose from. CS:GO did find ways to have different gameplay using pretty much the same tools.
-
It keeps the game interesting with different goals for a player in each mode. Interesting outcome from pretty much the same things indeed.
-
When you have a lot of players playing the same game, you will eventually come up with new ways to play with the tools you were given. The popularity of CS:GO certainly helped with that by making such modes more common knowledge to those playing the game.
-
Agree with you Xctroy! Variety is good.
-
-
-
I enjoy deathmatches the most apart from casual gameplay. Although I do keep switching to other modes from time to time for a change.
-
Changes are good. Playing the same game mode over and over just will make the player bored.
-
-
Thanks for the useful information. It will be a good guide for new CSGO players.
-
The different game modes definitely make the game worth playing. I can see why CS:GO is among one of the most popular games out there, because there’s just a lot you can do, and choose from. If you get bored of one mode, it’s simple to switch to another mode.

There are tons of servers for Minecraft and themes for said servers vary a lot.
-
True, I really enjoy watching the insanely amazing things people build on their minecraft servers, including entire cities
-
-
I enjoy playing/watching CS:GO and minecraft and they’re great server games.
-
Minecraft was my all childhood! I kept playing in RPG servers of Minecraft and it is where I learned how to do role-playing! And about Ark: Survival, one of my friends recommended it to me past days. Maybe I can try it if I can find any time.
-
Minecraft is probably the most flexible, when it comes to servers. You can play locally through LAN, with other people online through standard multiplayer, or with other people online through realms. There’s usually a ton of servers out there, with few of them being worth checking (like certain mini-games servers or a couple of survival servers), and the best part is server owners use plug-ins to enhance the multiplayer experience.
