Playing video games has proven to have its benefits.
-
I will say, it depends on the game and how much time you spend on that game, since those characteristics determine the beneficial value gained. For instance, a game like Minecraft: Education Edition might be a great game for creating a learning ecosystem, but a game like Call of Duty wouldn’t be suitable for that at all. A game like Wii Sports might be great for better coordination since you have motion control, and then puzzle or strategy games would be great for memory. And if video game addiction is a problem, you’re not really gaining any beneficial value since you might skip meals, lose sleep, etc. So there is quite a varying degree of the importance of games, and it’s all about finding the right balance.

Yeah, games are starting to accept cryptocurrencies more and I expect to see that more in future.
-
It’s quite a slow growth though. Haven’t seen any popular games adopt cryptocurrency, so it’s more like a bleeding edge technology right now where smaller developers are experimenting around the concept. Even in 2021, I haven’t seen the growth grow that significantly.

New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is alright, I guess. I feel like it’s kind of repetitive considering Nintendo’s been rehashing the NSMB brand for years now, and the original came out in like 2004 for the DS.
But Mario Kart 8 is pretty fun. Ever since the Wii U version came out, I thought the vehicles with the hovering wheels were quite interesting concepts and the game felt like such an improvement from every other Mario Kart game. And I think the Switch version has extra features like new karts, characters, and a battle mode which the plain Wii U version doesn’t have. Considering it’s the Switch’s #1 best-seller right now, you can’t go wrong with Mario Kart 8.

The main thing you shouldn’t be missing out on are those pro plays from those pro gamers.

Sounds like a fun experience, but I imagine it would be quite an expensive trip to visit an esports venue in a big city. I imagine if you’re playing at an esports venue, then it probably would be worth it, but for an average person just wanting to watch competitive plays, might just be better to opt in watching livestreams or reruns.

It’s cool to know that some of the games I’ve played during the early days of my gaming life is part of this list which took part in making popular games nowadays. I personally played Command and Conquer, Diablo and Half Life. I’m no expert thus making me enjoy the game more as I learn how the game works, plus playing it in multiplayer makes those game alot fun. I would love to try the “Doom”.
-
It’s quite hard to imagine how successful these games were. I will say, I’d probably put Unreal Tournament (1999) up there; it’s kind of the game that rivals Quake and Doom.

Windows isn’t really a good choice for phones in my opinion. Even though it is obscure for the mobile platform (especially if you believe in “security through obscurity”), the obscurity of the Windows phones is the main problem. You won’t have many accessible apps or features that you would on iOS or Android, so it’s a terrible compromise.

E-reading lamp? That is pretty specific.
Agree! Very specific but also helpful. But a must buy? Don’t think so.
my parents actually have one of those for reading through documents at wor. is a very nice gadget I would say.
$139 for an e-reading lamp isn’t worth it in my opinion. I find it favorable to just create your own DIY lamp, though it does eat up time, and there are probably a bunch of project videos on how to create a lamp for your monitor, or at least some basic videos on how to get started. Surely it’s not that difficult to purchase cheap LEDs with a dimmer switch, some thin wood sheets and some wood glue to create something that’s aesthetically pleasing, and a coat of paint.
