Since the very first trailer, Code Vain gameplay was compared to a widely known game, Dark Souls. Players were arguing which game is going to have more “Dark Souls” in it. Instead of arguing though, it might be a […]

ogreman wrote a new post, How Virtual Reality Is Impacting the Gaming World 6 years, 8 months ago

I’ve seen many gamers tried VR and they sucks really bad FYI all is a noob including me ! You will learn it by playing it multiple times
-
The most immersive experience I’ve had is playing a racing game in VR with a VR motion simulation chair. I think if VR is going to further impact the gaming world, we need more peripheral devices to better simulate the VR experience, such as Virtuix’s Omni, an omnidirectional treadmill.

It sure did! You could see many people just trying to catch those Pokemons out there!

I can see more of these kinds of mobile games coming out in future.

Phones have improved quite a lot, so it’s no surprise there’s a shift in mobile gaming. You have better cameras, accelerometers, touch control, haptic feedback, and much more for a device that fits in a pocket. Some games don’t even make full use out of these features, but it allows for a variety of unique mobile games.

I have played Snake on my previous phones and there were my jam!

Gaming on phones that predate smartphones was always kind of clunky. Sure, you had buttons rather than a touchscreen which probably offered better control, but you had to deal with such a small screen plus the display usually looked terrible. And because phones had different models, rather than something more uniform we see today, some games were specific to certain hardware. From the early 90s to the early 2010s, it was more preferable to play on handheld gaming consoles from the Game Boy to the Nintendo DS than on a phone, until Apple’s smartphone, the iPhone, took off.

Bitcoin games? I haven’t heard about them before, but it doesn’t hurt to know more!

Bitcoin games are kind of unpopular, even in 2021. I just see it as a fad that caters to a minority of people. Not saying that it shouldn’t exist; it’s healthy to have a variety of games, even ones that don’t stand out as much.

The quality can’t be always guaranteed if something is free.

Not all free games are lacking !

Would say it depends on the “free” game itself, especially how it’s modeled (is it a freemium game with optional premium content [and how aggressive does the game push users to pay for optional premium content], does the game rely on ads for monetization, etc.) and sometimes even how big the company is (is it by an indie developer, is it by a large game company, etc.). And the game’s genre itself can dictate the gameplay, so that’s also something to keep in mind.

ogreman wrote a new post, 8 Ways You Can Monetize Your Mobile Game App 6 years, 8 months ago
Once you get down to the wire to finish developing your brand new mobile game app, you will definitely want to monetize it. Every interesting and eye – pleasing mobile app has a tremendous amount of work behind […]
-
Mobile game apps are pretty popular nowadays, so knowing this information sure is good for those interested in having a profitable mobile game app.
-
The most common monetization method of mobile game apps seems to be ads, especially for mobile games where there are levels. For instance, you complete a level, and then an ad pops up after completion. And a lot of times, these sort of mobile games offer a way to turn off ads by getting the user to spend money (like spend $0.99 to remove ads). It’s quite an ingenious technique that allows developers to market their game as free, and still make a living profit.

Social gaming, a new way to play card board/card games!
-
One of the most common things I’ve seen in social games, especially mobile social games, are ways to sign into a game using social media. For instance, instead of seeing a regular log in form, you might see a “log in with FaceBook” button. They’re most of the time optional (since there are other ways to log into a game), but mostly exist for convenience since there’s a strong correlation between gamers than play social games and also use social media.

A good article for those who are seeking to buy a gaming chair! I am not going to do so yet, but i might do it later.
-
Finding the best budget gaming chair is mostly about seeing which features of a chair are most important to you, but I think another important aspect to budget gaming chairs are finding discounts. For instance, checking for strike-through pricing and savings, sales/clearances, deals (like Black Friday / Cyber Monday offers), promos/coupons, etc.

The online gaming market is going to be growing all the time for sure! What will it be like in the future? I guess time will tell.
-
Population and accessibility is definitely a factor in the growth of online games. India and China alone have the world’s largest populations, and devices like phones are becoming incredibly accessible which allows for game companies to grow more. I think that’s the main reason why mobile games are especially big.

Don’t hit that wall and you will probably be fine!
-
Pretty good tips, but I think it’s important to accept that not everyone can be good in VR games. For instance, one thing that hasn’t been mentioned at all is motion sickness which is probably the #1 disadvantage of VR. Motion sickness can be quite problematic, especially since what one sees through the lens of a VR headset doesn’t reflect one’s own equilibrioception, which is a common sympton for newcomers to VR. Some people can adjust to the disorientation of VR just from getting used to VR, while others can’t adapt as easily.
