Online games are pretty mainstream already

HTML5 is still an early piece of technology, especially for games. Even though Flash Player is now gone, there aren’t really that many browser games emerging. I think for a lot of new game developers, there’s a bit of a learning curve to HTML5, because most things have to be built from scratch, and it’s just easier to have a game engine that can cut down some of the complexity. I’ve been seeing more Unity browser games lately, but not to the degree of popularity of Flash games.

Rocket League is a very cool game!! I have tried it with my friend’s steam accnt. Need a little practice tho with the jumping cars and big ball.

Rocket League is pretty interesting; I never expected a soccer game with cars to be very popular. I can’t wait to see what other MMO sports games are coming out this year.

Thanks for this article, before reading this I just had the impressions that VPN’s were only used to browse anonymously and keep your data encrypted. I had no idea VPN’s were also able to stop DDoS attacks.

Money is hard these days. Whoever invented this play and earn concept was a genius. However, these “MMO money games” doesnt sit well on a mobile device unlike other MMO “play only” games. Due to the fact that incorporating mobile devices will force a lower graphics for the game because of a phone’s capacity and when money is involve, we always expect the best. 🙂

Gaming communities definitely boost the gaming experience. Not only does it help in game, but also promotes interaction out of the game. We even tend to be friends in social media!

Gaming Communities are awesome. It makes you more involved and updated.

Online gaming communities are great, it help unite the players. I used to be in this gaming community (well, it was more of a clan) we were selected by the official game’s representatives and we would have to go around helping players with questions or tasks in the game like questing or killing bosses.

There’s also websites like Discord where you can get your little community going for any game you play and have people chatting.

Communities in online games are great boost to enjoyment of those said games and keeps players playing games with people part of these communities. I think it is great that people get together in game to share interests, do activities together and so on.

Same games have unofficial guilds where they arent recognized ingame but set themselves up in other platforms such as discord.

This article was good the old school purists might grumble​ about glory days of WoW or Guild Wars and be annoying, they might have their reasons why for them the changes was bad or not that good. 🙂

Guilds and clans sure are good ways to bring people together and do actives with. There are guilds/clans for games that don’t have official ones yet just like AQ3D has Discord guilds but that will change in the future when guilds get officially added to the game.

I’ve always seen guilds as being an important aspect of MMORPGs, especially for raids and boss fights. And it’s especially nice to have a clan or a guild, when you’re playing a game that isn’t so popular, because you could just invite guild members to play with you.

I would use Bitcoins as currency but none of the games I play have that option for making payments. Maybe sometime in the distant future

I’d say mobile gaming is also another noteworthy trend in recent times, the new generation seem to be more interested in mobile games.

I have been looking into Esports but in this case i have been following fighting game Esports a bit.
It’s interesting to watch two people with a lot of mettle to fight each other with those characters they can pick.

VR gets too much hype in my opinion. I think motion control has been the biggest trend in gaming in recent history, yet quite underrated, because it’s changed how people play games (by making games less sedentary), and it’s even made VR more enjoyable. By motion control, I mean like the Wii remote, the Switch Joy-cons, certain VR controllers, and even smartphones to some extent.

I happened to watch my cousin play this game once. I was amazed by it!
First of all- Witches! I like witches! I wanna be one too!

The battle system – from what i have observed, the flexibility of the battle system is appealing to me. In fact its very much appealing that i wanted to play it too.
Its awesome.

The graphics… So far, it has pleased my eyes. From battling to cutscenes. Theyre all A-Ok to me. I totally approve!

Although i havent seen the whole story, i can say it is most likely great as i have seen some parts.
Its a really awesome game. And i would rate this 8.5/10

Pretty cheeky animations for this game. The game does have decent graphics for running on pc. However, the uis and the sound effects needs more work. However, the soundtrack is one of the best I’ve hear as well, like Fly me to the moon.

The games graphics look great kinda gives me the feeling of Castlevania but with a girl and guns!!!!
Also there is an anime out there for anyone who wants to watch!!!

Not entirely hyped with this being played in pc because I’ll definitely still play this with a controller. If I own a console then this would be nothing and definitely an old game, eight years old to be exact.

Pretty nice action game. Decent graphics being able to play on the PC and it runs quite well. If you like witches and chicks then you should probably check this game out. Its not really a game I would play because I don’t quite care about anything relating to it. Overall I give the game a 4/5. It’s a decent game just not one for me.

Bayonetta is an action game that has many fights with many things to dodge and you got many attacks to use against your enemies. You can also get upgrades which can change your play style. The game itself looks very nice to look at and the music is great to listen to while in the heat of battle. I am going to give this game a solid 4 stars!

I would suggest AQ3D for a 3D mmo if you like grindy type games like dark souls. The graphics are maybe not as up to par with current games but the maps are designed really well.

The idea of movies to games is a common thing as you will find a new game in the app store based from an upcoming or newly released movie. The challenging part is the games to movies. Having a themed movie like that readily restricts the amount of viewers! You only bet on the players and hopefully the curiosity of other people to a game to watch the movie.

Movies based off games usually are hit and miss types of movies and i hope there are going to be movies that are going to nail it.

Agree on money planning and choosing wisely. I used to be the type that would buy games unwillingly without thinking about the future, but when I buy a game now I always ask myself if the game is worthwhile and if it’s something I’ll still be playing years down the road.

I play free games and when i am going to buy a game, i will check the game out by watching gameplay out of it and then i think how much entertainment value can it provide. If it is enough i will then buy it and of course i will check the price tag first.

Nice Article.. But to be honest… Some of the mobile Games that you mention are not popular now.. Maybe they put a large impact to the people but right now, they are not. CoC and Pokemon Go are not so popular like the few months they have just released… Welp.. WElp… this is a great guide for beginners… Minecraft was really a good example, but when i started gaming , i started directly with Online Shooting game like KOS Secret Operations XD…. lel.. 😛

My first was mu online as my friends were playing it then i started in dota1 lan games then transitioned to Garena which was online. But if you consider my younger years, cartoonnetwork.com and disney was the BOMB.

I agree that Minecraft is the best game for beginners to start with these days I think it’s one of the most simplest and not simplest game :D, but like Awen i started gaming with K.O.S. too it was famous in my country that time and I didn’t have a problem understanding how the game works my friends as well so I am confused why beginners this time have a hard time playing I even see some stopping then facing right then they’ll start walking 😀 .

For beginners I would also suggest a flash browser rpg like DragonFable, that’s where I started. Its storyline is compelling, animations are amazing, definitely one of the best flash browser games out there.

This sure is a good article regarding to this subject and there is a lot of online games out there to try and play. Minecraft is a pretty good starting point for online gamer’s journey. I would say Adventure Quest (it is a RPG game that runs on Flash on your web browser) is also pretty good to start out with because it was one of my first online games that i have played.

Well for a game like Minecraft, the way I would begin playing that game is by using the Minecraft Gamepedia to understand mobs, crafting, etc. Beginner’s guides will vary from game to game, but finding a resource like a Wiki tends to be helpful, at least for me.

I think most new players started with free games? But the older generations might have started with payed games since the computer was still being developed back then and piracy was at its infancy. It was only now that developers realized that there is still market with free games, like popularizing your website for advertisement or even selling account informations. 😱

I started with free games, I remember playing a lot of the flash games at Arcade Street and Miniclip when I was very young.

Nowadays most free games are played on mobile devices, that’s where future generations will probably start at.

I just realized how Steam is so successful. I don’t even remember the other platforms mentioned. Somehow, Steam has become the default game client. The daily discounts and weekend deals is such a great idea, you are tempted to buy more. 😵

Steam is a pretty good online game service and popularity of it is pretty high with barely no completion to match it’s mettle. When i want to look for a game, it is most likely there.

For years, Steam seems to have been the most popular service. There have been some competitors like the Epic Games Store, which have moved some developers away from Steam’s service, but seeing Steam’s recent device, the Steam Deck, I feel like this handheld PC will bring in more developers as well as bring back old developers that may have moved away from Steam.

I really hate how they made Persona 5 in PS3 and PS4 consoles I really loved it I even played Persona 3 a lot, now I can’t since its in those consoles 🙁 .

I remember when Yooka-Laylee was first announced, and so many Banjo-Kazooie fans were excited for it. I’ve always wondered why Banjo-Kazooie for almost 20 years never had a sequel, but it’s nice that there’s a sequel.

The thing I dont like about cash rummy or any other betting platform, is the minimun payout. You need to have a certain minimum account to withdraw your winnings. This forces you to bet more even after winning a nice little game/bet which could have been profitable without the boundary. I guess both player and client just wants to make the most money out ofbit.

If only I could buy this Raspberry Pi… I wouldve enjoyed this a lot.

Good luck with your assembly project. I hope you find other interesting games aside from Squirrel Eat Squirrel so that the effort will be worth it. I’m currently trying to search and learn the optimum pc build for my use but still on a budget.
