  • Many people think that all the online games are the same, given the fact that they are basically based on the same principle. Truth is, there are big differences between them and that’s the reason why some games […]

    • Nice Article Ogreman, but the rank 1 Esports? maybe it should divided into different genres also. Why? It is just simply because MOBA’s are also Esports which means MOBA’s and Esports are only one. So the best way is to divide Esports into different genres. Like Sports game(FIFA, NBA2kSeries), Fighting(Tekken), Racing(NFS) and also Shooting is also part of Esports. Thats why we can easily say that it is the Rank 1 but in the list ,some of the branches of Esports are there also. So if we will change it into another list… Rank 1 should be MOBA, Rank will be Shooting , Rank 3 MMORPG’s/Solo RPG , Rank 4 Sports and rank 5 can be fighting or Racing … Steam Games? Same as Esports, it can also be divided… like CS: GO , its a Shooting and also Steam Game, Dota 2 , a MOBA and Steam Game also.. So maybe i am wrong with this , but this is my opinion about this article… But overall this a great and another awesome article…

    • I agree with Awen the same goes for Steam games since there are MMORPGs Shooting and MOBAs in Steam so I think the way yiu divided nit wasnwrong 🙂 .

    • My favorite would have to be shooters or role playing games.

    • I think Mobile games will soon climb onto this list of most popular genres in gaming.

    • It’s already one of the best game on mobile !!

    • Personally I wouldn’t consider eSports or Steam games to be genres. Esports are a form of competition, and Steam games are just games that are available on a specific platform. It’s like saying that speedrunning is a genre despite being its own form of competition and like saying Android/iOS games are their own genre despite being games available on their specific platform; it just doesn’t make sense to categorize them as game genres.

But my top five would probably look like this:
      1) Action – includes shooters, fighting games, survival games, battle royale, etc. (games like Call of Duty, Super Smash Bros., Minecraft, etc.)
      2) Role-playing – includes RPGs and MMORPGs (games like Pokémon, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, etc.)
      3) Platforming (games like Celeste, Super Mario Bros., Limbo, Super Meat Boy, etc.)
      4) Strategy – includes card games, MOBAs, RTS, etc. (games like League of Legends, Hearthstone, Starcraft, etc.)
      5) Sports – includes racing games, golfing, soccer, football, tennis, etc. (games like Super Mario Tennis, Asphalt, Need For Speed, Rocket League, etc.)

  • Playing free games on your android device is now easier than ever. Many software developers work hard to provide free online games on mobile devices. If you have errands to run and you want to have the fun on the […]

    • Thanks for the list!!! i may try the Battle of Gods… it sounds cool..

    • The list was okay I guess… I checked the Dance Games: Micheal Jackson it wasn’t that interesting I’m thinking about trying to play DC Legends or Battle of Gods 🙂 well we all have our different opinions.

    • I’m not familiar with any of these games nor do I know anyone playing these. Most of my games are “free” but have been doing ingame purchases. I should try these games and start saving some cash.

    • DC legends perhaps is one of my favorite super hero games on mobile. It’s fun and easy and quick. The games play are many pvp or player vs ai.

    • Some of these games are familiar to me, Hot Wheels: Race Off I believe I’ve played before on a browser game website and also on mobile.

  • In recent years, eSports tournaments have experienced a massive rise in popularity. The quality of the competition has drastically improved. What is more, this sport is anticipated to present a significant growth […]

    • The International is definitely the most appealing!Lots of events during this time of the year such as short films, ingame purchases like battle pass and sets. If you want to watch some good doto, then brace yourselves for TI. Better yet, start organizing your bets and support your teams! May we all get our desired items!!
On the other hand, DAC is somewhat used to determine who gets an invite at the international and Halo is…. Halo. lol

    • I’d love to participate in this one day

  • Although the Ogre has had many platforms and thousands of games over the years, I still have not tapped into the mighty potential of the little computer known as the Raspberry Pi. At first glance, you would not […]

    • More options for customization! But not everyone is willing to learn as others jusr want to play. I personally would love to try this but I do not have the means and resources to do so. I hope you complete your build and cover that motherboard. 🙂

    • Yeah there’s a definitely learning curve with the setup process of this, you definitely have to be in tune with computer technology

      • You can do so much with Raspberry Pi and this is just one of those things you can do with it.

    • What was your computer specs ? I owned i7 Acer and still upgradable

    • Raspberry Pi is a neat piece of technology. Personally, I don’t think it can replace a gaming PC, but it’s a fun do-it-yourself project and I’ve seen some interesting things like portable handhelds using a Raspberry Pi. It can be quite versatile, because it pretty much is a computer.

  • With the video game industry worth over $18 billion in 2017, and with the profusion of funding sites such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo, it’s little wonder that small and large gaming companies alike are churning […]

    • Them the real heroes! Lmao

    • A few days ago I also read up on Alexey Pajitnov, another influential video game creator, who created Tetris for Nintendo

    • Markus Persson is probably the most familiar name in this list, most people know he’s one of the founders of Minecraft.

    • Those are definitely some influential video game creators. I think another creator to consider is Shigeru Miyamoto, who is responsible for Mario, Zelda, Starfox, and more, and also defining Nintendo as a video game company, possibly even reviving video games after the 1983 video game crash. But for contemporary game creators, I think one that stands out is Toby Fox who is most known for creating Undertale.

  • Creating an online game site today is much more profitable than to create a real game. We will discuss a few points here on what is based this argument, as well as obstacles to it.

In contrast with the past, […]

    • Basically, online games is where you almost always play with other people and offline games is where you play solo or with friends using LAN.
And yes, gaming communities are such a big factor now. It’s hard to play with toxic players and definitely enjoyable with a great community.

    • I enjoy both online/offline. Offline mostly for the campaign/story and online for the competition it brings. I think most people nowadays tend to gravitate more towards online games since you can play alongside or against other people in the world.

    • I do play both types and it’s better that way so i won’t be get stuck on one type only.

    • Online games are great, but I don’t think there’s really a big advantage of online games over offline games. You can still have the best of both worlds. I like jumping onto online games, especially if I can hang out with communities and play with/against other people, but I like offline games, when there’s a power outage (or when Wi-Fi to the Internet isn’t working or is just inconvenient) or when I just want to play games on-the-go. You can’t really go wrong with either.

  • Have you ever wondered what are the most popular trends today?  If not, set aside everything for a while and think about it. Yes, the mobile phone is used and liked the most and in every age group. Mobile ph […]

    • This is very true. For my case with AQ3D, I just play it on mobile even tho it is a cross platform game. Having the comforts of your bed while playing is heaven. If I use a laptop, I cant bend all around while playing. with a phone on the other hand, I can even walk around and roll. Mobile phones can also use gamepad controllers which is amazing! However only a few selection of games currently have a gameoad support. I just hope it becomes a norm someday.

    • I don’t usually play social games but when I do it’s mostly through facebook like you mentioned. I’m also seeing a lot of tweet based games on twitter these days. One of them is “Pick an album, the 3 never existed” and you have to quote the person’s tweet with your answer.

    • Social games like Summertime Saga ? Oops +18 only Rated SPG.

    • Simplification seems to be the biggest trend all over mobile. You see it from logos and icons (e.g. the transition from skeumorphic design to a more flatter design), to web interface (e.g. card layouts, bigger buttons, flatter colors, etc.), and in mobile games (e.g. simpler UI and controls). It makes a lot of sense for many things to be simplified on mobile, because simplification just creates a better user experience.

  • PC sales have declined for several consecutive quarters, leaving those that were hopeful that sales would pick back up in 2016 devastated. However, while PC sales decline, gaming parts and gaming PCs are on the […]

    • Gaming laptops and accessories are expensive! While it is termed as “gaming”, these are just PCs that have modern parts. If you have a gaming pc, then you can already use it for work, school etc. as the specs are high and thus the price. But it would be a waste of money to buy a gaming laptop and just use it to work with ms office, you should rather buy a business laptop.

    • More people are buying mobile devices or building their own PC by buying the hardware

    • I wonder how PC gaming hardware will trend in these upcoming years. Right now, there’s a global shortage of semiconductors, but there’s also PC technology to be excited for like the upcoming operating system Windows 11 and the Steam Deck handheld PC. I feel like there’s going to be high demand and low supply.

  • These days buying a gaming PC is much easier and cheaper than it was in the past. Unless you knew how to build your own PC, you were stuck buying name computers like Compaq, IBM, and HP. Then you had Dell and […]

    • This looks so amazing !!

    • Welp.. Great Article.. i guess now you should create an article about evolution of PCs…

    • Would like to reading something like this but in a philippine setting

    • Nice article, now I just have to learn how to build my own gaming PC it’ll be hard though is there an article for it?

      • It’s basically like building with Legos, but without Legos. All you need to find pieces which fit together, which isn’t obviously as straightforward as finding Lego pieces which fit together.

    • Definitely going to have to invest in a CyberPowerPC one day. I was thinking about building one from scratch but I feel like it would take too much time and resources for me that I’d rather just buy one pre-built.

      • It saves time to just buy a pre-built one, but you can definitely save some money by building one yourself and buying parts for it separately.

    • I think the best gaming PC would have to be Alienware but those are so expensive.

    • ASUS NUMBER #1

    • Always on the lookout for better pc and even better deals.

    • It’s pretty good no doubt!

    • Yep it is indeed !

    • These look really great! I hope I can buy an amazing gaming rig some time soon.

    • This sounds like a great plan, a lot of my friends have done it and apparently it works wonderfully while also saving a lot of money.

    • It is very easy to buy a good gaming PC now especially when compared with the past times. However, I still prefer gaming laptops. They are more beneficial for me.

    • Seems like a reasonable gaming PC, though gaming PCs will vary from people to people. For instance, you can always get the best overall performance, but the best-performing PCs can cost thousands of dollars and is often more than anyone needs. It’s always important to consider things like, how much storage do you need (I personally think 2 terabytes is way too much, unless you do a lot of video editing, but between hard drive and solid-state drive, an SSD is the way to go), does graphics power matter most (you probably wouldn’t need an RTX graphics card for most games), does CPU matter most (if you play a lot of 3D games, you’d probably want a really good CPU, and it doesn’t really matter if it’s Intel or AMD since they’re both good choices), etc.

    • AQ3D already being recognised as the best is a good thing, i love that game

    • I actually never played AQ3D I just saw some gameplays it looks cool,I’m definetly going to try it.

      • I hope you did try it. There have been a ton of changes since you posted and I’m sure you’d like them if you gave it a shot

    • Welp.. I am so happy that some of the games that i played were in the List, especially AQ3D and Minecraft… Both also are having the Top Positions… I really that AQ3D will stay on the Top and will not change in this year and the next few years because i know it has Future. Im also happy that CS:GO, LOL , Brawlhalla and other Games are in the List because i know in myself that they Deserve the Award they Got now… So Hope All this games Will Improve more in The Next Few Years…

      • They happen to be my top games too. Brawlhalla still seems to be improving and growing but I haven’t tried it.

    • A good and awesome list a really enjoyable games and deserves to win hehehe the best for me is For Honor and AQ3D I’m really enjoying AQ3D right now and I watched For Honor gameplay it’s justs so awesome:).

    • Wow Overwatch really deserves to be in this list! Everyone can enjoy playing Overwatch and have lots of fun even for players with poor aim like me. There’s a lot of cool maps where you can play as different heroes and different roles plus you get really cool skins from lootboxes by just simply playing and leveling up 😀

    • That AQ3D screenshot is cool, that must’ve been taken around the Skull Tower was released.

      • You know it’s old because Fan still has tester status on this screenshot.

      • It brought back memories from the old days when all of us farmed for the level cap and gold on shadowskull bridge as a unit!

    • For honor is one of the best game pvp !

    • It deserved a mention, it’s been growing a bit slow but steadily and the community is great too!

    • It does feel good to have come this far, and we still play it!
