MapleStory game was one of my favorite side slash and hack game.

Probably the best Korean-based MMORPG. The 2D side-scrolling added so much uniqueness to the game, and that itself stood out a lot more than 3D MMOs and even 2.5D (isometric) MMOs, since there weren’t many side-scrolling MMORPGs at the time. And the gameplay feels so much different than most MMOs because of the 2D side-scrolling. Game has tons of classes, especially at the start of the game, which is really nice. The anime chibi characters add so much charm to the game. Only unfortunate thing is that the game started declining after the Big Bang patch, and the sequel MapleStory 2 just doesn’t have much charm as the original MapleStory. Overall, I’d rate this game a 4.9/5.

Lower rate MMOPRG, graphic is to bad for me to play it, there are su much better games that are also free and brings so much more, i would rather play gw2 or something like that, then this game. Totally not attractive to me. As in any other mmorpg, you are placed on world, doing quests and fighting creatures, only is low graph

It’s interesting how you can build a relationship with the NPCs if you treated them good or bad I don’t see many that games but I checked​ the game through searches and the graphics really is bad just as the other says for someone like me who is really concerned about the graphics if it’s good or bad I won’t recommend it since I wouldn’t enjoy​ it that much 🙁

Mabinogi is a anime fantasy MMO and a sandbox game. You can raise animals, build homes and get married too. Combat in this game is a bit different in this game from games i usually play, there’s no skill spamming you have to be precise with the timing.

Mabinogi is a pretty good fantasy MMORPG; game has definitely evolved a lot over the years. Kind of unfortunate that this game never grew as big as other MMORPGs, because it has really great graphics and there’s a ton of social aspect to this game than other MMORPGs. And I think it’s cool that this game is inspired by Welsh mythology. Kind of looking forward Mabinogi Mobile though. Overall, I’d rate this game a 4.75/5.

The second mmorpg i have played!!! Its a great game even today though the armors kinda spoiled it for me!!
There is pvp and pve in this game, sieges and clan wars to prove who is the best!! The raid bosses are of the best kind with huge dragons being the strongest of them all. There is also a story behind the game which i find very interesting!! Also events and skill enchants!! I still play in private servers now and then!!
It is definitely worth trying if you seek an old and good game!!

This game is not bad at all, played the Lineage I and was a dwarf race there. Leveling is really fair, balanced and the maps is really big it’s an amazing open world game. PvP , craft , enchancement you name it it’s all there. I kinda quitted the game when I reached lvl 50 coz the grind for the new gears is getting harder and there were other games I’m playing.

4/5 – Lineage II is a MMO for PC. It is a prequel to Lineage, and is set 150 years before the earlier game. Lineage Revolution was recently released to mobile in 2016, so I would definitely recommend trying that out if you’re new since mobile is dominating the gaming market at this time.

A great mmo. Amazing graphics and a lot of challenges. One of the best mmo that I have played. The community is great and the pvp system gives some emotion to the game while you explore the environment.

A great MMORPG still with lots of active players. The game is a immersive adventure into a fantasy world.

I would describe this MMORPG as being “old, but gold”. Game came out in 2003-2004, but looks spectacular; can’t tell if it’s because the game uses Unreal Engine 2.5 or if NCSoft just updated the game a lot, but it definitely feels a bit more modern than other MMOs at the time. Character customization is pretty good; you get to choose among various races, but you’re limited to choosing between two classes, warrior or wizard. Gameplay and combat is alright; nothing too spectacular there. Overall, I’d rate this game a 4.25/5.

Solid game, graphic is a bit lower but it could work, i rly dont like effects, they are rly bad, blood is lie fountain when u kill creature, main problem here is low number of servers. Game could use some improvements

Wow I’d have to say this is by far the worst MMORPG I’ve ever played. There are literally no npcs anywhere and 0 players online to meet. The games graphics looks like the outdated game, Morrowind. Actually, even worse than morrowind. This game customization is also pathetic with little to no variety. The creativity in this game is so little, to which the developers created a world of so few uniqueness. Overall, had to give this game a 1/5.

KAL Online is an alright game. Game looks pretty good and you even get to start off with a mount very early in the game. But the game is very lacking in social aspect, and I don’t think it even deserved to be called a “massively multiplayer” online role-playing game since the game does lack players. I do think the game can be enjoyable, if you invite your friends over to play, but it just doesn’t have the same appeal as other MMOs. Overall, I’d rate this game a 3/5.

Kind of a cool MMORPG with Far East inspirations, but not as popular as other MMORPGs and a little confusing or dull at times. Like it’s cool that you can choose factions, but what even are the names of these factions (since each faction is just a Chinese character, either colored blue or red)? And it’s nice that you can choose among various classes for your characters, but there’s no customization option for your character which is a bit disappointing. Gameplay is alright though; nothing too outstanding. Overall, I’d rate this game a 3/5.

I do not find this game as enjoyable as other games of the same genre. First is the graphics, which is like playground themed. Second is the gaming community where people seem to be very selfish and just doesnt care about anything else. A 1/5 for this one.

One of the good games i used to play I really enjoyed it when I was still playing art might look childish but the gameplay is definitely good the best part about this game is the 1v1-3v3 PvP though it was really unfair if you were weak fast hands is the key. 😛

Playing this game is not that great. It Has a great story but the gameplay is horrid, and need a lot of work; as well as the multiplayer, and the maps and gameplay is terrible!

Grand Chase was an amazing 2D side-scrolling MMORPG, especially since it is one of a handful of games that presented itself as a 2D side-scrolling MMORPG. After becoming bored of MapleStory, I actually tried out Grand Chase and was really impressed by the game, both graphically and gameplay-wise, though I mostly admired the graphics. There were times when I played this game that I did not enjoy the gameplay, sometimes during a battle. Overall, this game was really nice, and I would rate this game a 4/5.

This game is the best no regrets on buying it The majority of the community is very kind, helpful and fun. Highly reccomend joinning a high pop datacenter since .most of the servers in a datacenter are connected to each other for instance ques. Main scenario quests (the story quests) for A Realm Reborn (base game) are great but they become much better in Heavensward and Stormblood expansions.

A great RPG game based on the FF storyline and the community is so nice.

Final Fantasy XI is an interesting game; it was first released in 2002 and feels like a game you could jump in and have fun in especially now, though it’s a different MMO experience than most MMOs today, especially since its existence predates established MMOS like WoW. Not as great and refined as Final Fantasy XIV, but a solid experience. Overall, I’d give this game a 4.25/5.

I still have the original disks including the exspanstions. When i think if the best times i had playing a game then its with Everquest, so many found memeries of good times and lost friendships, my longest playing char logged 10k hours alone and i had 32 chars in all, this to me was my gaming heaven, not so much now as time moves on and standards change like all things. All i can say is thank you Everquest for the wonderful times I had.

EverQuest II is a pretty fun MMORPG. Can’t go wrong with either this one or the original. But one thing I like about EverQuest II over EverQuest I is that the game feels a bit more solo-friendly. Plus I think the game looks slightly better than the original. Overall, I’d give this game a 4.5/5.

EverQuest I is a fun MMORPG. Personally I think it doesn’t look as great as EverQuest II, but it’s a lot more popular than EverQuest II which is a big advantage for the game. Plus it’s a different experience than many other MMORPGs. I’d give EverQuest I a 4.5/5.

EVE Online is an interesting sci-fi MMO and space flight simulation game. The 3D graphics in the game are very detailed, especially the models for the spaceships in the game. I like that this game features different races for the main character, but my favorite race in this game would have to be the Gallente race. What I truly like about this game is the fun and challenging gameplay and different strategies for this game. On the downside, I feel like this game has way too much going on with its interface. Overall, I would rate this game a 4.25/5.

One of the best galactic games ever. The game is now free to play, but I would still suggest using my buddie invite link found in my profile description here on steam. It will give you 250.000 skillpoints upon account creation, which is a good few days worth of skill training and can be pretty useful for anyone who wants to get into the game 🙂

I’ve been playing DDO off and on for about 3 years. I’ve played a lot of MMO’s but this is the game I always come back to. The content and game play is the best. The developers did a great job at making each dungeon unique or adding little secrets and puzzles that adds challenge to the dungeons. This isn’t a game you race to reach the max level and stand around so people can gawk at your gear. This is a game where you want to take your time leveling, were you like building up your character and learning more about stories.

Dungeons and Dragons Online is one of a kind MMO game. It’s very well made and makes gameplay a lot more fun. It will never be a bad game. It’s enjoyable and not boring. The graphics are smooth.

Considering you’re picking up two games for the price of one, the TL;DR of this is yes. Chronicles of Mystara is worth it. Graphically, you get what the age and port would expect. Audibly, the game is ear-candy. Playability-wise, exceptional. It’s not perfection, but it’s damn close to it for the price.

Dungeons & Dragons Online is a pretty fun MMORPG, probably more comparable with Neverwinter. Character generation is the most intricate and unique aspect of the game since you get to choose a style (e.g. melee, spell, specialist, iconic), your own class, your own path, your own race, and your own appearance; probably one of the best character creations I’ve seen for any MMORPG since you have so many combinations of a character you could create. Game’s artwork looks amazing despite being an old game, and there’s just so much to explore in this game. It’s the kind of game that would definitely be fun to play with friends. Overall, I’d give this game a 4.825/5.

Dream of Mirror is a cool anime-esque MMORPG; the character customization is kind of interesting as you can choose among Human, Sylph, Shura, and Sprite. Gameplay is alright though; this game can feel somewhat bare-bone, but it’s also an old MMORPG. Overall, I’d give this game a 4/5.

Dragonica Online (now Dragon Saga) is a very impressive MMO. Looking at a video of Dragonica Online dating back to 2009, I am very impressed at how clean the graphics look, far better than a lot of other MMOs around the 2008-2009 time frame. Game feels very playful, especially with its characters, and the action-based combat is quite fun. Overall, I’d rate this game a 4.65/5.

I watch this game when my friend play it, and i was amazed with it. I do like all superhero things, so i think that this game is good. On start u pick pvp or pve server, make your own character, here customization is awesome.

I really like superheroes and being able to play in the Justice League Universe was a dream come true!!!
At first i enjoyed it a lot, fighting with other low lvl villains and having fun!! However after a while the truth came out in a harsh and brutal way.. So many restrictions in this game that can only be lifted if you pay.. You cant have a lot of money you dont have a lot of space in the bank and you cant join many instances.. For good gear and becoming stronger those things were essential.. So even though i loved it ill give it a 2/5 since it restricted you way too much..

I started off playing this game as a “free to play” player and continued as such for almost 2 years. Only buying a very inexpensive DLC from time to time. So this game certainly delivers on that aspect.
With constant updates, good customer service and FULL Xbox controller compatibility, eventually paying $10 a month for a membership (which comes with it’s own set of percs) seems hardly too much to ask for.

As far as superhero MMOs go, DC Universe Online does pretty well. I’d say it’s a lot better than Marvel Heroes, because even though your character is based on a superhero (your character type), you do at least have more customization option. And the comic cinematics plus the voice acting in the game are pretty neat. Gameplay is pretty good as well; I think it’s fun flying around as the Superman character type. Overall, I’d rate this game a 4.3/5.

This impressive online role-playing game marks the dawning of a new era….Graphics are pretty solid….There is much posibilites to do in this game….I recommend this game because i am a fan of mediveal games…There is pretty nice monster you can kill and its fun to level up…Highly recomend it :3

I’m halfway through my first play through, and while this game is older, it is by far one of the best games I have ever played. The character development is the most in depth I have ever come across.

Dark Age of Camelot is a neat MMORPG, more like a medieval MMORPG. Customization is pretty cool; you can choose realms (Albion, Hibernia, Midgard) and whichever realm you select determines the option of races and the option of ways (which are like classes). Game’s even got facial customization. Gameplay is alright; doesn’t feel like other MMORPG gameplays where you encounter unique beasts and creatures, but more like encountering other races like Midgards and “realistic” creatures like rats, wolves, and lynxes. Overall, I’d give this game a 4/5.

I find Cabal an above average MMORPG of it’a time. Just like RAN and other MMORPGs like NeoSteam and MU Online. It’s just a bit more higher in terms of graphics (at least for me) plus the classes offer interesting appeals and makes it more fun to play the game.

It’s worth a try.

Graphic, battle and gameplay mechanics are all toooooooo old.
Feels as they are from last century, never ever from 2016.

Cabal Online’s a really great MMORPG; it is an old game dating back to 2005, but hasn’t felt like the game has aged one bit. Character creation is nice; you get to choose between two types (sword or magic) and choose a specific class based on the type, and the level of customization is also nice since you get to pick gender, facial features, hair style, and hair color though it could definitely benefit from more options like eye color and skin color, and more hair styles or more hair color options. The gameplay is pretty good; you do have typical MMORPG elements like dungeons, quests, a mini map, crafting, skill combos, and PvP. And the world itself is vast and unique as you have different regions to explore like the Bloody Ice, Desert Scream, Green Despair, and more. Overall, I’d give this game a 4.25/5.

Ashen Empires 2d older mmorpg created by Jason Lothgar Ely.This game was free to play to 2002(open beta)and later officially released in 2003.Game was good for that time but it was destined this game will fail because,there came some better mmorpgs with better graphic 🙁

Even if this game is more than 10 years old, this is still one of my own time favorites. Graphics are a bit outdated, however, the pro is that this game is still a free game. The only reason I come back to this game basically due to the competitive pricing and dynamic quest.

Setup & Installation
To play Ashen Empires, you need two things: an account and the Pixel Mine Launcher.

1) Create a Pixel Mine Games account (Create your account)
2) Download the Pixel Mine Installer (Download)
3) Next, run the Installer. It will add the Pixel Mine Launcher application to your computer.
4) Run the Launcher.
5) Use the account you just created to log in (Launcher will begin patching and restart).
6) Log in again, select Ashen Empires, and press “Patch”, then “Play” once all files are downloaded.

The graphics seem kinda bad.. Not bad, but rather… Outdated. Well it’s classic i’ll give points for that.
But still, wont appeal much on new gen players

One of the greatest MMORPG I’ve played in my youth. The combat, crafting, music and social community. I don’t know what to say about it other than just how much memory it brings back each time I hear the music starting.

Ashen Empires is an alright game; very old though, and there’s a lot of features in this game that wouldn’t fit in with today’s games. For instance, this game doesn’t make the best use of its real estate. Modals like the say box, party box, and other boxes can easily get cluttered, which can distract from the game itself. Graphics is pretty old, but not a big deal. Overall, I’d give this game a 3/5.

Anarchy Online is an excellent sci-fi MMORPG with various customization, fun gameplay, and a nice story, and has an interesting theme and genre since most MMORPGs are not sci-fi themed; I especially like the story behind the game as the setting of this game takes place 30,000 years in the future on a planet called Rubi-Ka. The graphics of this game is actually not too bad, especially for a game that was created at the turn of the century, though it is outdated compared to modern MMORPGs. As for customization, I like that the player can choose his hairstyle, height, and body build. I also enjoyed exploring around the different areas in the game. Overall, I would rate this game a 3.5/5.

The game has a complexity which I’d argue has only been matched or surpassed by EVE Online. You have to learn to play this game, which makes it something of a niche in a world of dumb-down MMOs. This is a huge draw for the game.

Played on and off since 2003 and made several characters, spend endless amounts of time, yet I know next to nothing, as this is one of, or maybe THE most complex game ever made.
