Time for my last three games of my list. These three games are the ones that I look forward to the most in 2014. The games that I’m about to introduce you to, is probably games that you’ve already heard of and are not any big surprises. It doesn’t change the fact that I can’t wait until the games are released though.
3. Halo 5
There’s not much to say is there? Halo is, as I’ve probably mentioned several times, one of my favorite console game series for the Xbox 360. There haven’t been a single Halo game that I haven’t liked (Halo Wars might be an exception), so Halo 5 is definitely a game that I look forward to. It is not yet known when Halo 5 will be released, except that they have said that it will be released in 2014, unless it gets delayed. The developers, 343 Industries, had huge pressure on them, when they were developing Halo 4 after the success from Bungie, but I think they managed to create something wonderful despite that. If Halo 5 will be as great as Halo 4 is something we’ll have to wait and see, but I really do have high expectations, since as I said, Halo is one of my favorite console series, and 343 Industries can really make games. Not many details have been said about Halo 5 though, so there’s not much more to say.
2. The Elder Scrolls Online
The Elder Scrolls Online is the new part of the Elder Scrolls franchise that have been incredibly successful, with games such as Oblivion and Skyrim. The closed beta have already started for the game, although the full game is planned to be released on April 4, 2014 for Windows and later also for Xbox One as well as Playstation 4. Just like the previous games of the franchise, the game is set in continent of Tamriel with a storyline that is connected to the earlier games. Although it’s set about a thousand years earlier the events of Skyrim. If The Elder Scrolls Online will have the same quality of the earlier games, or perhaps even better, this is definitely a game to look forward to, as Skyrim is probably one of my favorite games for the consoles. With graphics from the new generation of consoles, a great storyline as well as a bunch of stuff to do, this might actually be the highlight of the year of 2014.
1. Destiny
Some people might already have known that Destiny was going to finish at the top of my list, so this isn’t really a surprise is it? For those of you that don’t know, Destiny is an upcoming first person-shooter that is developed by Bungie, the developer of the original Halo games. We all know that Bungie can deliver with some magnificent games, so it”s hard not to have high expectations for this game. My only fear is that they might be a little bit too high. Destiny is scheduled to be released on September 9, 2014 and is already seen as a contender for the Game of the year by many people. I really hope that Destiny will become a game that we will remember, even years after we started to play it. Experienced developers, beautiful graphics, great ideas and resources to create something great. It really seems like this game have all of the potential to become a game that we won’t forget.
And those were the final 3 games of my list. We really have many games to look forward to, now that a new year have begun. I will make another blog post in a couple of days that will sum things up for those people that really just want to take a look at the list, and doesn’t want to read everything I write. New year, new games to look forward to. Let’s just hope that they will be great! 😀
Interesting choice of the first 3 games
