Comment: This is an okay game, however it can get better graphics,it sticks to old school graphics and it should get new graphics. But it is the kind of game where you can make friends, meet new people and play for a few years,I give it a 8/10 for rating

Comment: Played a few days ago. Some rescue thing was going on with cats. Very boring. One person who was probably a friend of the admins was allowed in to a special area and won the game. Everyone else just ran around and did nothing because they obviously are not friends of the gamemasters.

Comment: one of the best things, the game is multi language and multiplatform. ok, the graphics are not like a 3D-ego shooter and it has not much more then 4fps, but thats not the point :)
its simply fun to play, you can play it almost alone but the grat fun is teamplay. in fact the game is designed to work together and communicate. newbies are always welcome, ive never seen something else.
if i read some comments below im not shure if they talk about the same game...

Comment: I m playing Arindal since closed Alpha and was playing Alchera and Clan Lord too.
This game has no fancy Graphics or thousands of quest like other game, but it has many other things that make it special.
It has nice teamplay and many players are really helpful (yes, it can happen that people ignore newbies, but mostly they don t).
It has (at least some) GM played monsters, events and quests, which is always a big fun and much better than many of the automated things one can find in Arindal and other games.
I m sure this game isn t for all kind of players, but people playing this and similar games (Alchera and Clan Lord) since years prove that some enjoy it.

Comment: Different, binding, humorous. A Game about living together, hunting, exploring the world and roleplaying. This game is not about fast paced action and ego shooting! The grafics are intentional old school and after a while you see the world different.
Beautiful visualy. You roleplay one of the three known professions; Fighter, Healer or Mage with all the strength and weakness in a team. From the twist of a lost brother to worldwide battles. Teamwork is whats make this game unique. Hundreds of players can work together in the same area at the same time, thats one reason for the lower framerate. Hundreds of players acting together simply would not be possible with 30 or more frames. You will be impressed by the responsivness of even 4-5fps.
During the betatests, and the game is still in beta (!) we know the gamemasters a bit better and the GM policy they gave themselfs. Marwan i just dont believe you when you say Gamemasters killed you. They never interfere with whats happens in the world. Not in a negativ way.
There are "unkillable" monsters. There always will be monsters you cant kill. You advance over time and become more powerful,
you search for new areas that are made for higher lvl players. And suddenly these "unkillable" monsters are exactly your lvl.
Thats not magic, thats how it works in almost all games.
I like the game because it will work for many years to come.
What other game can be played for 5-10 years where you discover people who become friends and / or lovers and is not
a ego shooter.

Comment: Hi!
I know this engine for years (from former Alchera and ClanLord) and play this game for some time now. It may be a bit hard at the beginning if you don t know what to do and how to handle the client since it s not that intuitive as WOW for example. But if you once get to know how it works, then it s nice - but can take some time. There are some illustrated tutorials on the website which should help - or just ask other players. With the build in macro language you can individualize and customize your playing a lot! There are clients for Mac, Win and Java and languages for NPCs in game are german, french, dutch, english isn t allowed for license reasons but lot s of players speak english and usually Quests are done in english as well. I tried Mac and Win and both work fine for me - no bugs like described here. Even if there are problems, you can always contact the developers via the forum and get help there - if you want to. I also found no spyware with AdAware and other tools but if you re a bit into networking you d know how easy it is to transfer various systemdata...
Oh yea, this game isn t about super-duper-3D-Effects at all, it isn t meant to be so. Besides the over 10 year old CL Gameengine isn t just build for that - the 2D Comic-Style graphic with the speech bubbles is really nice and supports the text orientated communication! The game itself is based a lot on teamwork: The 3 classes (fighter, healer & mage) need to work together to success. As a solo player you can play as well but it s way harder. And it s very hard if you play alone and don t know anything - but that s the same with other games as well I guess. And yes, there are some players around who ignore newbies or even say worse things to you but that may happen everywhere. There are also lot s of nice helpful players and I guess they re the majority. Besides this other people can t kill you because this is NO PvP game. It s only possible in a special arena. And if you die to some big monsters then you just went into too dangerous areas as a newbie which you shouldn t do - at least not without a group of capable healers or other fighters. The game isn t perfect, it s beta - but it s really nice once if you get used to it.
So please be a bit more objective and give even such smaller games a *real* chance while trying without prejudice or just pure assumptions which aren t even possible ;)

Comment: Not newbie-friendly at all. Creating a character takes hours and after that you still have no clue. The other players mostly just ignore you, I was even insulted by one when I asked a question. Doesn t work at all on Windows for me. The Win client uses up all my CPU (I guess you need a high-end machine for the 4fps). I bugged it and a gamemaster appeared and apparently knew my hard disk name, real name, etc., so they might use spyware. The game doesn t seem worth the effort of getting into it.
