Cthulhu Nation

A free online browser-based RPG set in the 1920's world of H.P. Lovecraft. Players go on quests, challenge monsters, can fight, cast spells and steal against each other, and eventually try to save the world against the extradimensional shambling threat of Cthulhu.

Comment: This game is no longer free. Payment through Paypal at 5£ per month is the only option. For a massive multiple-player online game, it is an interesting concept and quickly addictive. Unfortunately, the game as advertised is filled with bugs; quests cannot be completed, spells do not work and many items have no known purpose. Also plaguing the game is extremely poor customer service. The company almost never responds to e-mails and long-promised updates never seem to occur. Spend your money elsewhere.
