Comment: I only played teh demo and so far I think this game did improve in some aspect but did much worse in others. The dark side of this game is that the camera system, graphics, battle system, and interface got worse. The camera is much slower than the player's movement. It takes a few seconds for the camera to catch up with the character and keep it on focus. The graphic looks hideous, it looks so much cartoonier and a bit blockish than the last. There is this one flaw in the battle system that ruined my day, that was how to attack your enemies. In diablo if you want to attack your enemies you just click the left button of the mouse, but in DS II it just makes things more complicated. You have to click the left to move to a certain destination and you have to click right to attack your enemies. The interface was just totally different from that of the original, it was just the way it was set up wasn't as convenient or fancy as DS original. Other things grew worse such as the resurrecting system. In DS1 if you die you turn in to a ghost, and the best part about this is that you have a certain amount of time to reach to a shrine to return into your physical form. In the demo version I didn't see that at all, so I assume that there's nothing like that in the sequel. The customization is a lot worse in my opinion. to look things from a model's point of view most of the faces are ugly and unpleasant for the human race, and plain weird on the elven race. However there are few improvements to the game. The character development system is more sophisticated than before. You can manually increase your skills and feats. There are additional races and classes to this game, the race system is good. There's variety of races such as humans, elves, dryads, and dwarf. The classes are ok, it's better than nothing but the class system was not unique. I've played games where you have more than 12 classes. This one only has 3. The improvements of the game didn't really make up for the flaws like the first one. To be honest I wrote a bad review for the first DS but later on I realize the game really did instill a unique feeling in me unlike other typical games I've played. The first one did have flaws but the exploration system really made it up. But the second game didn't have the same feeling I had for the first game, so dissapointingly I have to rate this game a 5, that stands for a dissapointment. It did have the pros in it, it's not like every aspect of this game is bad. Some of it were good but overall I didn't see the improvement in this game nor did I have the same feeling for the second as I did for the first.
