Comment: I know, I've posted a review before, but I was younger, and made little or no sense, so i will redo my review.

As I have said before, this game is NOT a MMORPG or anything MMO-ish. Think Battle.Net. (Basically, you log on a server depending on wheither you are in US west, US south, or Europe. Mind you I am talking about the US version of the game.) This game is quite addicting once you really get into it. There is a lot and not a lot to this game as well. Let me explain what I just said (since that basically made no sense :D).

Graphics: Definetly not the worst I've seen. But looking at all the new games coming out, I believe this game is in need of a graphic update. I guess you could say the graphics in this game are on a level below City of Heroes/Villains. So, not bad, but nothing special.

Gameplay: Interesting, is all I can say. There are a couple different ways to play this game. You can either become a korean-style fighter, which takes advantages of the glitches in this game (it isn't exactly cheating, k-style has been around forever and the programmers never decided to fix it, so I guess they decided to keep it), you can be a d-style (i think it is called dagger-style) where you use a dagger as your melee weapon and take advantage of the glitches of the dagger, you got the e-style (european-style) which means you play the game it was meant to be, so you don't use any glitches, and you have the almost non-existent h-style (hybrid style). In the h-style, you use a combination of all the styles. Pretty neat, huh? Well, sorta... The thing is, no one teaches you all these styles, so you are forced to look it up with google to find out how to do all these glitchy techniques in K,D, and H-style. E-style is a simple style and will be the first one you learn. It took me about a couple weeks before I really got the hang of k-style. I have not yet learned d-style, for I am not a fan of daggers as a melee weapon, but don't let me discourage you from using it hehe :). Now, let me explain the types of weapons. There are ranged and melee weapons, and each of these weapon types have different weapons in them. Ranged: Shotguns, Rifles, Sub-Machine guns, Dual and Single pistols, Dual and Single revolvers, and Rocket Launchers (I might have missed a type or two, cant exactly remember them all :P.) Melee: Swords (katana's), daggers, and dual swords. Each ranged weapon and melee weapon has unique attributes to it. Swords are slower than most melee weapons, but deal higher damage. Dual Swords are faster, but do less damage. Daggers are extremely fast, but you cannot block with a dagger, only swords and dual swords. Each ranged weapon has different accuracy rates, fire rates, damage ratings, and ammount of ammo. This all sounds very complicated, but it truly isn't. Once you hop into the game, you will find yourself ignoring all of these details and just start firing away. Another cool feature to this game is that you can run on or up walls, roll and shoot enemies, and even climb walls with a melee weapon. It gives the game an action-like feel. Sadly, this game has no storyline to it whatsoever, so it is another game with no point to it. But it makes up for this by keeping the players entertained with fun, action packed battles. There are many different maps to fight on, but they may or may not get repetitive, depending on how often you play on a single map. There is also a "Quest" mode in this game. You can fight NPC's such as goblins, undead, and lizard-men and obtain "Sacrifice" items that you can use to unlock bosses and secret levels. Even though it is a Quest mode, it has no storyline to it and so it feels like a long grindfest, but the rewards from boss-drops can be good and the exp and cash gain from these secret levels are quite worth your time. Even so, bosses are incredibly hard to take down by yourself and I recrommend grouping up with experienced players to try to take one down. Another part of the game I dislike is that there are very little costume/armor choices for free players. All the interesting and more powerful armor sets are in the cash shop, so playing against an enemy that has premium items may tip the balance to their side. But don't let that stop you from trying. Anyone can beat anyone in this game. It just depends on how well you can play the game.

Sound/Background music: Sound is pretty much flawless. If you fire your weapon, it will sound like that specific weapon. As for the BGM, it is quite repetitive, but definetly has some nice tunes to it. As I've said before, the genre of music is a rock/techno. It definetly sounds good, but it just grows old after a while.

Community: This depends on who you meet. Some people are friendly while others tend to be... rude, you could say. I sometimes have to worry about people in this game. One time, I was playing against someone in a game and he/she called me a lagger and to get off the server. I calmly replied, "Is this not an US east coast server? I live in Kentucky." and, this actually made me shake my head in disgust, she replied, "Stupid mexican, Kentucky isn't on the east coast!"... Sad, is all I can say. Last time I checked, Kentucky IS on the east coast lol :). Anyways, there are friendly people in the game, so don't get too discouraged. There is a friend list where you can add friends (ironic, right?). You can also join or form a Clan, which is similair to a guild on other MMO's. Overall, the community just has its ups and downs.

Overall: This game is probably the best shooter game I've played. It's fun, addicting, and will make you lose track of the time (which may or may not be good lol). Understand, though, that it may take a while to learn how to k-style or d-style and you must be patient with it. I recrommend searching up Gunz the Duel Wiki which can be accessed by the IJJI Gunz the Duel website. It has many helpful guides on how to play as a K-style, D-Style, or even tips on how to use grenades. To cut to the chase, it's helpful :P. This game is not for you, though, if you dislike spending time on learning the fundamentals of the game. Hope my review helped those who are wondering how the game is :).

Comment: Gunz is an amazing game in concept, but falls down pretty considerably in practice. Playing and leveling up can be utter bliss in the right circumstances, but sadly those circumstances are none too often. The problem is that 75% of the outcome is based on skill, 20% on lag, and 5% on if you payed for premium items or not.

But isn't a skill based game good? yes, but sadly there is NO way to ensure you are playing against people of your skill level, which is when the game is at it's best. You might think that all the skilled players would be quardened off in the higher level brackets, but there is nothing to stop them from making a new level 1, and in fact it is quite common. Because level and equipment mean virtually nothing, they will then swiftly annihilate you and everyone else, effectively ruining the game.

Assuming you can get past that, the high end play is problematic in itself. "Skill" refers to little more than learning what glitches create the fastest and most reliable kills. Getting good at the game becomes nothing more than a process of learning the keystrokes, and it can be very trying. I personally know multiple people who have been diagnosed with RSI (Repetetive Strain Injury) from nothing but playing Gunz at a fairly high level.

In the End Gunz is extremely fun if you can play with people at your level, as it is a fast paced, stylish game. The shape high end play has taken and the prevalence of skilled players in low level brackets completely ruins the game experience for me though.

Comment: This game should keep you occupied/addicted for the first few weeks.
It is 90percent skill. My favourite aspect of this game is that a level 1 can kill a level 50, it is really based on ALOT of skill.
The only problem with this game, and will kill the game eventually, is that this sorta action paced game doesnt work online, the lag will make all shots inaccurate or off the place it seems to be. However you wont find this genre of action MMO anywhere else, it is an excellent game if your internet is speedy!

Comment: The game is more based on learning how to use the controls and glitches efficiently. For the most part it is not hard at all and everything can be learned or self taught, just try not to get carpal tunnel. You can find yourself completely killing off lvl 40s with a naked lvl 1 if you are good enough, and I know because I have done it quite a number of times and was known for a while due to my skill. You will find the game fun and interesting for some time but there are certain issues that will be so negative you will find yourself quitting or even consider this a 7 out of 10 rather than an 8.

The first issue is that at least every other month you will find that the game is hacked, either in the game pvp itself or the chat which make playing useless due to 12 year olds finding leached trainers that will give them invincibility. If the lag caused by these do not crash the game for you, you will find yourself needing to find another room or quit the game entirely for that month.

PvP is more fun than questing by far, but people will most likely do both. The first regular downside is that of the premium system. Pay 15 to 35 usd for a new set of clothes, 10 usd a week for prem meds and if you dont then you have people destroying you constantly even without skill being an issue.

The other problem besides hackers and leachers is the issue of other countries playing the game. The aiming system of the game becomes something of a guessing game as you aim 4 inches to the right to hit them perfectly due to distance lag. This can be learned eventually and is not too bad. However, then you have to couple it with the community of the game. For the most part, depending on which gunz you play, na, e, j, etc. You will find different communities at times; however, regardless half the people who always play are immature and more egotistical than any you have seen. For the most part they can not back it up so it is not so much an issue than an annoyance. If you find yourself as being one of the best players you may find a good community for the few months it lasts.

Comment: in my opinion gunz could be better but that doesn't leave the fact that it's a bad game.

the graphics look quite good but you will not get any time to look at your character, because you will get slaughtered in the very first seconds of the duel (mainly by Japanese or Koreans that have no other intentions to kill someone than to gain exp or loot or bounty (whatever)

the irritating thing of Gunz is levelling and gaining money it goes so slow!
I don't know why but it just goes way too slow and mastering all those tricks like wall jumping etc. is way too slow so I will sign of with these words: only play this game when you have way too much free time!

Comment: Well, for all those who started playing and got owned right away by some pro and quitted, your a moron -_-. ANYWAYS, this game is NOT a MMORPG, but it is definetly a great game.
Graphics: 8/10; not bad... remindsme of ps2 graphics... and for the fast paced gameplay this game holds and doesnt lag with the graphics this good, impressive is all i can say.
Sound/BGM: 6/10; Well, Sound as far as shooting things and slicing things go is perfect, but the BGM gets boring after a while because it is so repetitive, but it is pretty much rock and techno for the most part. ( I usually play music off youtube while i play =p)
Community: 7/10 THIS GAME IS FULL OF PEOPLE WHO WILL CALL YOU NOOB IF YOU LOSE THE FIGHT OR WIN IT!!! This is because they are 1.) jealous that u are more pro, 2.) u really are a noob -_- 3.) your a hackor >.< or 4.) they are joking aroundf O.o. Besides that tho, its great. you can make friends and addthem to a friend list and join clans (or guilds basically) and have clan wars.
Gameplay: 10/10; TOTALLY PHEONOMINAL! the fast paced action, the incredible speeds of movement, and the amount of focus it takes to play this game is priceless. The only flaw is that the quests are really boring and bosses are basically undefeatable without a hackors help. Either way, PVP is top notched.
Crafting System: Haha, go play EverQuest or WoW if your looking for one of these cuz this game doesnt have one O.o...
Overall: 8/10. I am a big pvper, so i really enjoy this game. But pls remember, if your a Final Fantasy nerd who is looking for storyline and super dungeons and such, skip this game and go to Perfect World or something cuz this game isnt for you O.o. oh yeah, if you hack within a pvp room, u really are a noob -_-'. If it takes hax to win, u either suck, or are really bored because your so pro and u want to have some fun, but remember pros, u were noob once too =P

Comment: Personally, I love this game, its truly addicting to me, and all you people who think that ksylers are ego-maniacs, Im not, I kstyle for life, Im a pro, but if someone kills me with a spray, I congratulate them, lol, unless they just are pissants then I will destroy their ass. Kstyle is only one of the things I have mastered, I have mastered mstyle (both monk and mafia), nstyle, dstyle, and am practicing insta.

The thing I like about this game is all the styles you can learn, and you dont have to just sit there and watch your person kill something, you have to kill them yourself, and if you dont, you die. Its about skill and not lvl, thats what I like. Another thing I like about this game, its alot faster than other games, I mean, 250 fps? Thats alot, compared to other games like WoW that only get 30.

I have been reading some other reviews up there and they say that kstyle was purposefuly put into gunz, I have something to say, no, it wasnt. Kstyle was created by the community of gunz a long time ago, peice by peice, and not created by the game creators, thank you, but you fail if you said that the creators of gunz created kstyle. And yes, its all glitching, but it works like hell, and if a newbie (note that i said newbie and not noob) kills you, then thats okay, they are still learning, and they may or may not learn kstyle, it doesnt matter to me.

The guns and things are great too, they have many guns and swords that I have never seen, many of them, assorted by level, its great.

If you want a game that gives you more freedom to learn things and not be bored out of your mind just watching your character just sit there and kill the monster or something, play gunz, its fun, unless you dont like people getting pissed at you and calling you a noob. So yeah. Thats it from me.

Comment: When people get to know this game, leveling isn't the hard thing. it's mastering all hte Sweet Tricks in this game, for example The butterfly, reload shot, and more. The armors are like... Uber pro in this game 9.5/10, and the graphics are like 20/10. Unlike some other shooters, Gunz has like ALOT of guns of different classes, and they even have their own melee weapon class (double knifes, sword, Dagger). Other than all this, you cant really interact that well with people, thoguh the glitches in this game are sweet!! :D
I gave this game a 9/10 because of it's unique-ness. :D:D:D

Comment: I played Gunz on and off for a good time now. But now that I hear of this new game called S4 coming out... i think i'm gonna be turning my attention there. Cus i mean dang... now i can fly without k syle...lol Seriously though about GunZ, the community really really ticked me off. That's why I played it on and off. I'm actually one of those people that k-stylers and non-k-stylers hate. I basically learned the k-style that was most benefitial to me which was butterfly, that other thing ( I dont know what its called) where basically you can stay in the air on a wall and keep on firing, and the other move where you can dash with sword, switch weapon, shoot and repeat. So i only know those 3 k-styles... no insta or other crap. Which it didnt take me much time to learn and i could really go against the best k-stylers. Thus, just to say those that didnt know any k-style to little would be easy picking's. So they would get mad at me and so on. Although some of them i told them various tips on easier ways to do k-style through configuring your setup. I mean come on... you put block on right mouse button anyone can do bf like a pro. Then when fighting some of those k-stylers that matched me in skill or was better, for instance if someone kept doing bf alot, I would just block the whole time and get them to hit my block and counter them with the blast. And my goodness that just works horribly well, thus the k-stylers would call me turtle. And i only use automatic weapons in like any shooter game i play, but here they call me a spraying noob. Well if you are the one dying and i am the noob.... what does that make you. So thats what irratates me about gunz is basically all of the sore loosers. K-styling or not.... i mean dang.

Comment: Yes the k-style technique is a pain(i dont use it my self), but you will not find a game with anything close to this kind of awsome game play anywhere. It gives you an amazing freedom of movement which i love. A good deffence aginced the k-style is just to run and shoot. As soon as a k-style atks you run away but keep your cross hairs on him. One of k-styles biggest advantges is the ability to doege like crazy. If their chaseing you then there not doeging. Just unload a machine gun on their ass. This works, k-stylers get really pissed off and call you a sprayer, but in the end their the one thats dead lol.

This game is great for casual play, and its intensely fast paced fighting.

Comment: Well, I played this game for a fair amount of months, albeit VERY occasionally during that time, and I feel I can submit this safely.

The graphics are great and the frames per second stay at a constant rate for me; barely any lag, the weapons are nice, but some are totally bland, and the costumes look cool.

Gameplay is split into certain modes, like Deathmatch type modes, team battle, and the newly added Quest mode where you can splatter NPC monsters into the wall for quick experience points.

You got guns, and you got swords. What more could you ask for? But this is where I make yall agree with me :D

The community is TERRIBLE. I made no friends playing this game, and lost two while playing (yes, REAL LIFE friends). They got so involved in practicing that "K-styling" technique that they became instant no-lifers...

They still do not speak to me to this day because I quit.

Those sword-users are EVERYWHERE! You can't get a single shot in, even with a machine gun, before they dash in and slaughter you. It's totally unfair, and ijji should fix those animations. And I mean that. People spend HOURS and HOURS of gameplay just practicing that crap. Honestly, I tried it out for a while.

It's great for getting kills, but I was only mediocre at it. But meh, this review isn't about K-styling...

You can't find a single person who'll befriend you if you're new. If you do, then hell, hook me up. Oh, wait, I quit! :D

On the upside, it's a great concept that should be polished and shined until it works well. Overall it's a great game, but I recommend NOT playing this if you've got a life and really want something out of your gaming experience.

I give it a 3. Yah, I said it.

Comment: I played this for a few months, and then I noticed something. K-style, it was everywhere, and I couldn't escape it anymore. A few people here or there did it. Not enough to make me leave rooms, just enough to make team matches really unfair. Next thing I spotted were people only doing Gladiator mode. A mode where k-style is the only way to play and WIN.

By this point I just started making my own rooms. People joined, but then they would k-style. No matter what k-styling is everywhere in this game. Even a technique called butterfly I believe was invented, and used. Butterfly could help you climb walls at lightning fast speeds.

In essence this game was grand at one point, but now it's being over run with people "mastering" k-style. Despite the fact a gunner can still slaughter the k-styler's, those swords will always block all your bullets, and the only way you can get them is from stealthing. Good luck with that too. No one stops moving unless gunning someone else down.

Comment: I'm sorry but I have to agree with the last few people. Gunz is, in its essence, a very good game. Although lacking in a few key elements(such as any actual story or motivation for killing goblins or other people all together) but the gameplay was , to put it frankly, PISSED ON by the community.
When you think of gunz, think of communism, cause unless you're eager to waste countless hours mastering series of animation breaks that make no freakin sense, you will regret playing gunz. You can't have fun when every other player is using retarded animation breaks called k-style to shoot, move, switch, and kill much faster than anyone else. To make matters worse, every other k-styler is an ego-maniac, which quickly changes the mood of any in-game experience from friendly to "I am so good at gunz you should all bow down to me and call me your god".

There's seriously no other way to beat any good k-styler other than wasting days and days of time practicing, or by getting extremely lucky. This game really made me ask myself: "Gee, what were the designers of this game thinking when they made to shotguns fire in succession at break-neck pace, simply by tapping reload switching, then firing.

ANY K-STYLER WILL HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TELL YOU THAT THESE FALLACIOUS, OUTLANDISH HIGH SPEED MOVEMENTS WERE PURPOSELY INCLUDED IN THE GAME.

Any crackhead could tell that k-style is the only reason people still play gunz, and that this is the only reason that they havent correted the animations. I mean for crying out loud, A MAN CAN FLY IN GUNZ SO LONG AS THERE IS A WALL NEXT TO HIM!!! YOU CAN INFINITELY DASH IF YOU FALL 30 FEET!!!

And don't think I'm making this crap up!! I actually took the time to master a good number of these techniques. This review is from a k-styler. SO to conclude: unless you want to be an a-hole who wastes his time master b.s., or you want be killed in gunz while people gloat their heads off while calling you a noob. DO NOT PLAY GUNZ!!!!

Beleive me i actually lost a good friend in real life because of gunz. He never egoed before playing gunz...now he egos so hard that it's hard to stay in the same room he's in, even for his family.

Comment: Ugh. GunZ. Another example of a good game ruined by a bad community.

Graphics are nice, music is pleasant, controls are a tad awkward, but all around nice.

THE COMMUNITY HOWEVER.

If you're not one of these no-lives who spent hours a day practicing "k-style", prepare to be incredibly frustrated. Anyone actually trying to use a gun is instantly called a noob and is hunted down, and if you're actually good with a gun and manage to kill these k-stylers with it, they will become even more aggravating, spending the rest of the match trying to hunt you down until you either leave or are booted.

IM SORRY, I DIDNT KNOW THE GAME WAS CALLED SWORDZ.

If you don't mind a terrible community and learning some technique that completely ruins all the fun in the game, by all means, download. The game itself isnt bad, just most of the people that play.

If, however, you're like me and actually like having fun playing a game without being ridiculed for not doing something that everyone else is doing, skip it and just play Quake or something.

Comment: yea this really is an awsome game, only until you reach lvl 20. Its really fun when you first start it. But when you reach lvl 20 its a whole new negaitive experience. You only find players who have dedicated thier lives to playing gunz the duel and therefor, they are better than you. If you like to use daggers and machine guns, tough luck because your winning percentage will plummet. It becomes a communist game so in order to kill other players and win, you are forced to carry around 2 breakers, a sword, and medical kits. Over 75% of all players use this weapon setup of equipment. That means if your level 60 using a dageer and roket launchers you will easily loose to a level 1 using breakers and a sword. So good luck playing an online game where everthing is decided for you.

Comment: Really fun and addictive , but with some major flaws. The biggest flaw is the community, some of the biggest most ignorant trolls u will ever meet play this game. let me go into more detail,
in gunz there are different styles of playing for example kstyle, spraying etc etc.. anyway
the most popular is kstyle and if u dont kstyle u will be an outcast and u will probably be kicked out of every room u play in. kstyling is possibly the most annoying gaming technique EVER, u just jump like an idiot waving ur sword around. by the time a "kstyler" even shoots at me i wouldve already put a thousand rounds in his face.
the armor in this game is SH!T , trust ur better off naked, unless u have money to buy premium items off the site, ur basically fcked. with premium items u can survive a nuclear attack, its like a 15 foot layer of steel concrete on ur body.

laggers.... what can i say , ppl spend thousands of dollars on top of the line computers, all in vain because in gunz, the shittier ur computer the more likely ur chances of surviving, if u want to be good at gunz go on ebay buy urself a computer from the 80s, and u will be a gunz god, laggers are like cockroaches they simply dont die no matter what. the people that play this game are ruthless fcking killers , if u let a kstyler see u , then u might as well kill urself because unless u kill the kstyler , it will chase u until the end of time and hope u never get caught in a kstyler fight , u will end up as porridge

Comment: This game should be excellent, honestly. The gameplay is addictive and fun- an over-the-top shootemup that can fill you with demonic glee whenever you score a bunch of kills. A wide vaiety of weapons including swords and guns are present, and this game is almost like a multiplayer component to Devil May Cry in its style.

So WHY did I give it a 3?

Because this game is perhaps the finest example of how the "pro and noob" mentality poses a serious threat to online games as a whole. People, I'm talking about a little technique called K-Styling. As we all know, for some bizarre reason, the Otaku culture in Japan and Korea has a habit of mastering a game as quickly as possible, devising ways to become the best before most countries even get the game. And this is a good thing, USUALLY. It adds depth to games and creates devoted fan followings- just look at Street Fighter and Super Smash Brothers, who owe their competitive scene to these obsessions. The problem is when people lose the ability to differentiate between competitive play and casual play. (Pro-Tip: An online game with many strangers is CASUAL. Competitive play includes- any 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 situation, tournament gaming, and any gameroom specifically labeled for "pro" gameplay.) In the case of GunZ, this manifests itself in a form of play known as "Korean-Style," which involves constantly jumping (this part makes sense, as you stop moving when you attack on the ground) and exploiting animation breaks to execute impossible sword combos and rapidly switch between a shotgun and a sword. As you can imagine, mastering this is absolutely no fun at all, and even if you manage it (I did, in fact, learn a bit myself) the game loses any and all entertainment value from that point on, as it requires you to essentially become a redundant and organic robot. Indeed, this style is so demanding that the community is next to nonexistent- everybody is too busy jamming the same three buttons on their keyboards in rhythm to talk to each other, and there are no voice options. This alone would not be so bad, even, except that the game allows you to block bullets with swords. In other words, no weapon is effective against K-Style except another well-executed K-Style combo. Now, most games just play in Gladiator mode so only K-Style is possible. And so, no amount of the awesome guns flaring, swords clashing, running and jumping off walls present in this would-be-awesome online game matters because everybody absolutely NEEDS to be "pro." We saw this in Mario Kart DS and Counter Strike, and now we see it again in GunZ: The Duel- our online games are slowly being destroyed by those people who have nothing else to do but play them. And that's my two cents.

-Music=good but repetetive
-Gameplay=fastpaced, no lag (or not for me at least) and many different guns and weapons to choose from, along with different clothings. (Trench-coat is coolest xD). Only thing is that this game gets sorta repetetive after a while.
-Graphics=PS2 maybe... But dont let that stop u, dl it, its worth it. And the size is very small.

Overall, 9/10, for a Third Person Shooter online game that never cease to surprise me with great gameplay.

Comment: I was reading the comments and noticed somethings that needs to be discuessed.
First off, gunz from ijji isnt laggy at all, just get the spec recommanded and you're set.
Second, I still see hackers running around ruining the game, if a hacker comes into your game room, start kick vote straight away, even his teammates wont vote "no", since he's taking their kills. :P
Next thing is, dont bother getting pissed just cos you get killed by fancy sword moves, dont forget this is still an fps. Just counter k-stylrs with one essensial skill that EVERY fps gamers needs... AIM!!! Nothing in gunz is unvulnarable at all, when someone comes at you flying with a sword, AIM THE LEGS! Nothing can block the attacks towards legs, its already stated in gunz ijji site.
Also, even though it is true that lvl is not important in this game, I say it is necessary. Cos higher lvls can use better weapons (lvl 18 rifle maxwell FTW!), unlock higher quest lvls and even new maps for pvp.
Finally, for those who wants to snipe in gunz, use a rifle, pistol or revolver!
Thats all I have to say, and ohh, I love this game !:P

Ijji has improved it alot since the IGunZ Beta ssold out. And the lag on servers is always being improved.

Nice community. (Don't get me wrong there are jerks)

Clan war is set up very nice. The whole clan system i think is the best and should be done with most games. Exsept have a higher vl for the clan master.

Peopel always online. Servers are always easy to connect to.

Starting out to lv may be hard but deffintly worht a shot once you get used to it.

VERY fast Paced, if you cant handle a real game go back to the point and click.

Comment: I'd say this is a quite fun game, although there are a few problems that I have with it. I'm probably going to be called some "crying little noob" or something, but I find it unfair for the players who are relatively new to be completely destroyed by whatever "style" of combat or whatnot there is meaning even with a gun aiming straight at them while they're wielding a dagger somehow you miss anyway. Other than that, I like how this game goes, even with my slight bias against third-person shooters.

Comment: The game is an excellent game for online 3rd person shooting game. The graphics is satisfactory and the gameplay is very nice. This needs real skill. On top of that, there is no grinding with monsters. You just keep shooting other players and level up. Blood-pumping all the way.

Why i gave 7 is due to the below average community where there are the infamous hackers. Of course the are abundant big mouths who all talk no action.

Overall it is a very nice game to play with if you do not have alot of time for mmos. But if play for very long times. It gets boring =)

Thats really all I can say about it... for a proper review here it goes.

Graphics: 5/10 - Mediocre as to be expected from ijji.

Community: 4/10 - Not dead, but not spectacular.

Story Line: Well I guess its a NO MARK because it really cant be counted on the score as there is not one.

Audio: 6/10 - Basically the only thing in this game that is above average.

Server lag and management: 3/10 - There is allot of lag and since the graphics are about average this should NOT be occurring.

May by ijji needs to focus on one game at a time and not go in bankruptcy trying to support so many at one time.

Comment: It seems to be a great game. I've been in a few servers and the combat is fast and smooth. There are many different items to buy and the graphics are decent. However, it is entirely unplayable due to the laggiest servers ever imagined. If you live in Australia, this game is simply impossible to play.

A better alternative would be Exteel. I haven't got that running yet (I am yet to do the port forwarding), but it is the same game as Gunz, but with better graphics and robots!

It starts out a little slow and leveling is a little slow, but the leveling does not matter when you have so much fun doing quests and pvp (pvp is big among this game)! I believe the music gets a little repetetive, but it is very good music. There are plenty of different types of guns to use and along with that swords, daggers, and duel swords (one sword is the best, trust me)! The quests are somewhat repetetive, but its a lot of fun to take on bosses when you get the chance to in the higher levels. The pvp is also fun, except for some retards wh ocall EVERY1 noob! Comment: GunZ is probably the first online rpg/fps game I'd played and so far it's very well made. The graphics are decent but more so the game play is great and addictive. I don't feel like explaining the details so I'll give you the pros and cons.

Pros:
- Variety of Weapons are decent
- Variety of clothings and armor are fair.
- It's a mixture of First person shooting (except its on third person) with heavy RPG elements. There are class systems, levels, character customization, and gender.
- How you control the character is great, you can run on walls, dodge side ways, and make moves similar to the matrix, There are variety of moves you can use during combat.
- You can buy weapons,armors, and clothings as you gain levels and experience. With levels and experience serving as currencies you have an incentive or reason to level up to buy better items. This is what makes the game very addictive.

Cons:
-The level system, like most MMORPG, is hard. It takes a while to level up.
-If you're not careful with your keyboard as you try to mobilize, dodge, or move constantly with your character it can break or make strange noises. I stopped playing Gunz because my keyboard starts making those weird noises.
-The game seems to lack certain creativity despite the fact that it's one of the very few games that mixes fps elements with rpg. It needs different gameplay such as capture the flag, dominion, assault, and etc. So far GunZ seems to only have team death match and death match.
-Items can be too expensive sometimes.

Graphics: Pretty good, no pop-ups. 8/10

Sound: O.K. music, can become repetitve after a while. 6/10

Gameplay: As I mentioned before this is the best online shooter for PC, because of wall-runs and the multiple weapons. There really isn't that many match choices, deathmatch, team deatmatch, and gladditor. But hopefully the developers add more soon. 9/10

The only reason i gave this game a 7/10 was because i dont really like shooter games like this.

The best thing is that u're really "involved" in the game. And using swords, even more involved. There're a number of styles and moves that u must practise to master. And the game have more to it than regular shashing and shooting. I suggest you give it a try. It's worth it.

Comment: I"ve played dozens of online games in the last 10 years, and there"s a select few that I always get the urge to come back and play. Gunz is one of those games.

Personally, I believe that this is the single best PC shooter. In other games, it seems like who ever sees who first wins. In Gunz, when someone starts shooting at you, you actually get to react because the game play is so fast.

If you"re sick of first-person shooter, try this and actually give it a chance (at least get to level 10 or more.) After you play this for awhile, you"ll never want to play bad, slow-paced games like Halo and all the other glorified generic shooters.

Comment: Repetitive... to the point of exaustion. Good for kiddies (90% of players) who like CS (Counter-Strike) gameplay to the extreme - hours of play ("SKILZZ") over brains.

The variety of suits in screenshots is deceiving, because you need to play for hours, just to get some shoes for your character (?!), and months to get some different gear or outfit (which both lack a lot of variety graphic anyway). So most of the time you will be playing with and against a lot of guys who just look like you (barefoot, orange pants(!?) and white sleveless shirt). Basically it seems like a hong-kong flick with construction workers wearing katanas doing the same kind of fight in the same scenario over and over..

The last, and what really takes this game down to the gutter, is cheats, hacks and kiddie stuff like that. Just like CS you are able to find, over the net, nerds and the kind discussing whats the best hack or best game glitches to explore.

If you want mature gameplay, were you give your brain cells some minimum work while you have some fun with building some quick tactics or strategy forget this game. If you want Unreal Tournament repetitive stuff taken to the most extreme - to the point where people around you will start asking themselves if you aren"t a robot - then this game is for you - just be ready for the:

"OMG THIZ GUNZ ROCKZ AND U R ALL NOOBZ!LOLOL!!"

This game is awful. In the beginning, you get to choose from an orange jumpsuit, and a wife beater. That is basically it. Don"t get confused by the pictures. You can"t look anything like the guys in the pics. You don"t have hats, or shoes, or anything like they said (or show). You can choose from a insane amount of !4! different face types. It doesn"t matter which one you choose, you"ll look like an inbred idiot.

Graphics:3/10 About PS1

Gameplay: 2/10 You might as well stick your face in a microwave. Gets boring. REALLY fast. I can, like, shoot, like, a gun?? ZOMG. I can, like, swing a sword, TOO??!?! ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG.

Community: Just reading the review right below mine gives you an idea. Full of preteens who like calling people noobs. Comparable to Runescape. Though to be honest, not quite as bad. But almost.

Graphics:Solid 8 (turn the up in the options menu)
Gameplay:10 its very very fast paced
Characters:5 weaker point in game since everyone has atleast 1 twin per game.
Armor/Weapons:8 Armors are cool looking more like clothes then armor though
Weapons are (MachineGun Rifles, SMG's, Shotguns, Pistols, Revolers, Rocketlaunchers, Swords, Duel Swords(two swords), and the Dagger.

Comment: The game itself is good with moving around and shooting instead of your basic clicking. The graphics are okay for the type of game but it doesn't matter with the shooting. The music sometimes doesn't fit but can be turned off and substituted.

The only problem with this game was i played 2 yrs ago and it was fine everyone fought without cheats hacks and glitches. Now the glitches and hacks have become basic knowledge that EVERYONE does. It is referred to as k style and is very gay if you can't learn them fast or well enough

Comment: This game is decent... but decent only in a time passing yet easily tiring kind of way. When you jack in you will be struck by the half-life 1 type graphics. Not a good thing. Lucky I gots me a nice geforce 8800gts 320 to jack up the quality to bearable. This games grace comes in the first 20 or so levels of play on multiple servers in which the gameplay consists of a trance-like dance of guns and swords, daggers and explosives while encapsulated in modest size maps of average design. Some of which are horridly designed with pits placed at non strategic locations for nothing other than to be irritating. This may seem depressing, but upto about level 20 it's enough to be surprisingly fun. Shocked me too, this thing just grows on you like no other shooter ever has.
Then around level 20 reality sets in. You get dumped into servers full of "Leet" dudes that manipulate every aspect of the games controls to make butterfly like gliding dances of impenetrable flight while slashing killing blows which cannot be defended because of obvious flaws in the animation sequences. Then they whip out a rocket and tap you for half your life while you are left vulnerable. There are a whole tribe that believe this is a perfectly fine type of gameplay, and who am I too argue but I'm here on the other side to tell you that a server of 10 guys fighting and 4 of them have 35kills 2 deaths and the rest of us playing "normally" just isn't a fun ride. It starts to feel less like a fun sporting event of the first 20 levels and more like a waste of time feeding some 15 yr olds desire to feel god-like cause he read off the net how to manipulate the games attack-block-jump-slash animation defects to cause unnatural shielding and movement. Then you get the the consistently abusive noob comments that never let up the entire map. Over and over you are forced to listen to the butterflies call everyone else which plays with bullets(I though that's what they were for?) degrading names while berating them for refusing to join the sexually confused twirling butterfly sword jugglers...
Point= lvl 1 - 20 awesome (7-9 points) game full of surprisingly rich gameplay in the face of depressingly few maps and options.
lvl 20+ dull and irritating (2-4) to the point that watching reruns of golden girls will seem more entertaining after you tire of the leet dudes.

-Amazing gameplay that will have you saying: 'omg, I didnt know I could do that!' and will make you feel like an movie/anime star!

-Good graphics, big-time gaming corperation quality! (not made by big-time gaming corperation)
-Good music that suits the action.
-Lots of weapons from Handguns to Rocket Launchers to Daggers! (and MUCH more)
-Different gaming modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Assassination, Gladiator (swordfights) and more!
-Different servers.
-Different lobbies (sorta like mini-servers) to match your level, open lobby, clan lobby or private!
-Clan function NOW WITH CLAN WAR SERVER =D
-Pretty good community.
-Easy leveling.
-Quest mode with npc monsters!
CONS:

There are also a nice variety of weapons as well, including pistols, revolvers, shotguns, rocket launchers, uzis, automatic rifles, swords, daggers, and kodachis (dual swords). There are also constant 2 on 2, 3 on 3, and 4 on 4 clan wars going on. You can also team up with up to 3 others to take on swarms of several different monster types in Quest mode. Currently there are 4 Quest Bosses to find, destroy, and obtain unique (but temporary) items from them.

The moves are incredibly cool. You can move fast and pull off stunts that are reminiscent of the Matrix. This game also balances melee and ranged weapons better than any other FPS I’ve seen. My skill never really stood out in online FPS games, but in this FPS/RPG game it shines.

Another thing that’s nice about this game, is that the levels and premium items actually make little difference when compared to how much skill counts. They have levels separated into categories so unless you go into the free channel, you (usually) don’t have to worry about a pro coming in and killing all the new players.

What ever you do, do not walk in expecting an MMORPG, this is not that type of game. The only true RPG elements this game has is a leveling system and quests.

I will say however, that some of the community is certainly not the friendliest, on the other hand… they are the ones I take down first…

I’ll also mention that I have taken breaks as long as a few months, and no account deletion (thankfully).

Overall this is one game that is amazing, and oh yes, it’s FREE to PLAY.

this game was never made to be realistic if it was u wouldnt be running along the wall like something out of the matrix.Yes poeple can be sad about this game when they get killed but this is the same on any game.
The servers are on nearly 24/7 other than a couple of hours a month for updates.
Overall i gave this game a 9/10

I've never seen a community THIS BAD. It's like Iraq exploded and all the communists flew to the US. I seriously recommend not playing this game if you like playing with other nice people. Sure I made friends, but they were only on the quest servers >.<

If you really like gunning, sword fighting action, then yeah, play it. It's free.

But still, watch out for the people who are Pros on newbie accounts. What gets me is that they don't play on their real accounts. Weird...

Anyways, you'll enjoy this if you like repetitive gunfire and annoying a holes ruining your day with K-Style, and then not talking to you or saying, "Good Game" and running off...or worse...

Comment: this game is awesome. combat is simply intoxicating. hackers are pretty annoying, cept when they help you do quests, in which case they're ur best friend. they make it easy to report hackers, as you can record the hackers. anyways, one of the things i love most about this game is that level almost doesnt matter. a pro at lvl 1 can easily take down a noob at lvl 100. controls are ridiculously smooth and weapons are pretty sweet. since this game is kinda close-er combat for an fps, there are unfortunately no real sniping weapons, unless you have insane timing with a rocket or can get sumone to stand still while you spray them with ur rifle. the additions of swords and daggers are more than worth it though, and all the little tricks you can do, like wall run or block bullets. some people can be really rude and n00bish, but there are some cool people. i met a guy named mastercheeks, he ran around in boxer shorts showing off his cheeks(in game, that is) over all a great game.

The combat system is fun. Lots of fun!
You can run on walls! That was an amazing idea!
Addictive!!! If you"re OC, don"t play this game. You"ll be playing it for decades. If you"re not OC, you"ll be playing it for decades anyway.
They finally got that Hacking Prevention System in. The hackers are gone! Whoo!

Cons:

The graphics could be a little better.
Leveling up takes quite a long time. Though if you"re skilled, levels won"t really matter that much.
The character customization stinks. That"s it. It stinks. Only a few types of faces and such and you"ll find out that just about everyone looks exactly like you.

This game is awesome. It"s perfect for everyone who"s tired of regular MMOs with click and kill. You actually have to pay attention to the battles. Don"t let the fact that customization sucks stop you from playing. It"s worth playing for years to come. (I"m still happy that the hacking is gone! WHOO!!!!!!!)

Pros: There are clans you can join ( basically guilds) and the more matches you win with your guild the higher your rank will go up! Awesome gameplay!!! Takes so much skill to really own this game and it's FREE!!!!!!!


cons: laggers,hackers, and it's not very friendly to newbies... if you just started playing no one really cares they'll just kill you.... but that's why i recommend team death match for new players

The graphics aren't the best, but this is a REALLY FAST PACED GAME. You can be one of two styles- European style, where you go around shooting rifles and SMGS, or a Korean Styler (my fav) which is where you fly through the air, rip through your opponents with your sword, perform acrobatic moves, and just plain look awesome. Anyone that likes a fast paced game better play this on. Oh and it's really hard to lvl ^^

After a week if you are still playing congrats because i cannot stand it anymore, same old things, nothing new ever really happens. Hackers are a main problem and the kicking from game system is kinda stupid. Getting kicked from a game you made shouldn"t be allowed but sadly it is. The game takes me like .5 seconds to install at first, then i bring up the launcher and it does nothing, so i leave it up while im at school. And whan i get back its done, so i get on. i start playing a While and the Graphics, in my opinion, are great but its just to laggy if you or another person lags the game stops, the game would be much better if even let u lag. even if ur frame rate drops, the game stops. so i give it a 4.

Comment: The game is great when it starts up, you get a matrixlike person and a pair of guns of your choice with a katana, dagger, ext. and you go around killing eachother in a huge enviroment.

The eniroment, background music, and avatars used naturally give a feel for the person that they are literally playing a hero in their enviroment.

Though for me, it started to slow down due to the massive amount of hackers that invaded the game and caused a ton of unnecessary lag, made it so others couldn't play on servers they were currently on, and people using their hacks against eachother for their own entertainment basically ruining it for everybody.

The next thing I thought was lacking was, even with the guides that I have read online to help increace my skill in the gameplay, it was encouraged to use certain 'glitches' or how I saw them as to cause you to literaly fly longer in the air, climb walls effortlessly, and switch between weapons almost effortlessly to add to speed and evadiveness. This caused the game to appear to me as if it encouraged people to find loopholes in the system and use them to their advantage.

Communication is very difficult in the game, causing you to automatically stop and be open to oncoming attacks from opponents to type. People tend to take advantage of this whenever necessary and tend to strike at thoes that cannot defend themselves (Except a few noble people)

The economy in the game is very stressful, people struggle to start a game as quickly as possible, then completely fuming their anger whenever they are defeated, and using cruel comments such as 'sprayers' for people who use certain weapons, for this example, the duel SMG's.

Overall, if I were to want to continue to play the game, I doubt I'll let myself get anywhere over level 20ish because of these elements.

I have been playing for a year and a half. Its Stuff like that that a game can do without.

But Overall, Its A Very addicting game.

Comment: Iv been playing this game for about 2months now and i have to say the gameplay is completely awesome, its a mixture between an MMORPG/MMOFPS.
I have been playing online games for about a year now and i have seen games constantly using the left click to attack thing and you can just stay still and use your abilities like in runescape... its lame, instead in this game you can actually enter a game and use controls similar to The Matrix and Devil May Cry.

Upside:
It keeps you comeing back. you want to become better and better. There are always items to shoot for...Literaly. Constant updates and very nice people willing to show you cool tricks. Worth the quick download and hours of great fun.
Downside:
!!!You must have a light weight optic mouse!!!
With a heave mouse you will find you cannot turn fast enough to shoot or slash. And with a ball mouse you find that it gets jammed. If your not fast you die.
Servers are hard to get on.
So many wepons its hard to choose.
Leveling is a "little" hard. But not too hard.

Comment: A lot of people find trouble installing for the first time. The majority of community is arrogant and elitist, you will be kicked out of rooms if you don't use the game's "advanced moves". This drives away players.

Someone here asked "what are the controls for the advanced moves, like the Butterfly and the Half-Step, etc".

There aren't any controls.

Certain sequences of keys allow players to make use of the bugs in the game. The developers thought that these bugs made the game better, but didn't implement them properly, they just left them as they were, even if they were not planned.
As such, updates to the game are difficult to implement, and very rare.

The "advanced moves", are overpowered, and leave little room for improvisation playing against someone using them.

But it can be a nice game, if played well.

Comment: Attention: Do NOT pass up this game because of any negative reviews...this game is fully 3d, and supports a change in style of mmorpgs. Here's whats different. power and skill do NOT come with repetitive mashing of enemies. Ever play a game where you have to devote all of your time to hunting, and after what,2 hours, you gained a level, increasing your stats? yeah you know what im talking about. this game is different because a level 15 can kill a level 30. leveling is fun and beneficial though the levels give you bigger, better, equipment, nothing more...and all leveling comes from killing other people (pvp). the real fun of this game is aquiring the skill to be able to take others on. Yes the beta version is currently all pvp.

update: ALL hacking has been eliminated...listen to no posts complaining of hacking, yes it once existed but is now virtually extinguished
update 2: slow downloading (due to the torrenter, which is a thing of the past) is now obsolete, and you can now download the game the quick, easy way...so downloading is a breeze.


so download the game,if you feel like shooting other peeps up, or perhaps making a clan, and because gunz is awesome awesome.=) run on the walls, fighting like a ninja with swords, daggers, or double blades to fit each hand, with very free moving controls. very good, possibley the best free FPS.

Comment: GunZ is truely a great, and very deep game. those who play it for a little bit, or played it when it first came out and havent touched it since are missing out.

Sure it has RPG elements like lvling up. but lvling is really just something on the side that makes you feel all warm n gooshy inside when you realize you can now buy that great new weapon, or cool new coat.

The GunZ players have actually been able to create not only their own moves, but their own, entire fighting styles that you would have to see to believe. Most popularly the SlashShot [SS] and wall flying. Remember, these moves werent created by Maiet [the makers of the game] but by the users, through experementation.

These moves and fighting styles make the game very unique and take an incredible amount of skill to pull off. though, after a while its all second nature just the same as diving around as a noob [no offence Sprayers and halfbreeds :P] ^^

Sure you could get props from people for getting the most headshots on CS:S or something. but, pulling off very difficult, keyboard smoking due to extreme finger activity moves and getting a "Nice" can be quite satisfying. Almost more than being called a hacker :P

As far as the people go, there are idiots in all games. however, the people for the most part are great. easy to get along with. and connection problems? well, im happy to say its entirely cleared up. ive NEVER had a problem getting into a game [or server] since my return to guns.
The odd person will tell you where to go and how to get there without you saying anything more than "sup?". but, ya cant let them get to you ;]

Comment: Another good rpg. But it plays less like an rpg and more like an action game (similar to Devil May Cry except no demons). The graphics are pretty decent considering it is a download. Good points: * plenty of servers and people to play with - you won t get lonely :D.* You get to do some wall running and cool stuff* For all you level up lovers: there is leveling up to be done on this game :D.* Vulgar language is censored - so your little bro can play :P. * Swords and guns can be used - you may not want to let your little bro play now :D.* Weapon upgrades can be bought aswell as clothes etc.* controls can be customised.
Bad points: * Servers have crashed on me several times in the past few days. * When you first start, you are really easy to kill. I mean really easy.* Long download: approx 190 MB. (I had to download it twice cus first time it cocked up!)
Other than that, this game is great and it is free! Go to the site for more info on game. Then download it :D
