Comment: People who even bring it up are usually laughed at by the hardcore PvPer and called weak. However despite that the game does have a lot of features. Apartments, vehicles, a stock market, in-game message boards, even for your clan (I cannot begin to say how much I wished out MMORPGs I played had these, they are SOOO useful), a fairly comprehensive trade skilling system, etc. The community generally tends to attract some of the worst people I ve ever met on the internet. I guess PvP will do that. While there is a lot of outstanding people in the community, there is also a lot of dickheads. :) Fortunately the GMs and mods of the game rule with an iron fist. They aren t afraid to ban exploiters and kick people from the forums for whining too much. The game has a difficult PvP system as well. Generally you are either full-time pvp or no-time pvp - there is no casual PvP. Full time PvP can be somewhat stressful. There is an in game faction system which ensure someone will be shooting at you most of the time. Unfortunately some of the factions are spread a little thin, but the game compensates for this by making certain factions allies to others. The graphics are dated. They were dated when the game was released. The game needs a graphical update so bad its not funny. Some of the environments look fairly good, however the character models are absolutely atrocious. The thing that drove me from Neocron, in all honesty, was the level of interaction you had to have with tradeskillers to do the most mundane skill. To me MMORPG interaction at its best is group, at its worst is having to find 2-3 different guys to make one gun for you. Even worse is that you progress through the levels so quickly that you re making a ton of trips into the trading area to build stuff.
