Shadowsong Crypt only has David's Set to go for and nothing else really. If not the whole set, I can see players going for David's Belt.

  2. I don't it's that special because the drops are common. But on the other hand, people could just as much dislike Deepclaw Caverns because they could be grinding over and over again for several days. Personally that would be my reason to dislike a certain dungeon, if there's a ridiculous drop.

It used to be special when that dungeon came out because there wasn't many belts with a gun holster and it was the only one you could get without spending DCs at the time. I saw many players using that belt for the looks.

  4. But in general, belts aren't really that special. You can think of it like this: Between Red Dragon Plate and Burnt Sash, which would you rather want? I think armors and weapons hold the most value, and the subcatergory of items (armor parts) hold the least, especially in cases where players want to mix and match items from other areas.

Now between Deepclaw Cavern's drops and the other dungeon's drops, I think people in general would prefer a weapon over a belt. I don't think a gun holster belt really shines as much as a weapon or an armor. And an item doesn't really need to be unique to encourage people to farm... I know some people are still farming for Traveler's Pack despite there being another similar-looking backpack.

It's not the weapon that makes the set, it's all the other pieces that make it. A belt like that can make a set work. Dungeons which have loot for many item slots are great for those looking for pieces for their set they want to make.

  6. Generally crafting is the best place for a full armor set, but again, people prefer to mix-and-match just to stand out differently. But when it comes to dungeons, people aren't really concerned about a full armor set... they just want to loot whatever's special. For instance, when I'm farming at Umbral Caves, I don't care to farm for every single Nightguard set; I just want the Doom Ripper drop. Also, farming an entire set takes up precious space, whereas farming for that "special" drop takes up one space. And even when you do get an armor piece, you still need to farm the rest of the set and you'll end up encountering repeats which could make the dungeon less fun. In general, I think there are more pros to farming for one special item from a dungeon instead of farming for a bunch of set pieces.

It was the first time that we collected a material and killed a boss. this is very enjoyable :)

Many players would beg to differ. Having to wait for between 10 to 20 minutes to even fight the boss can try your patience when you do it many times in a row.

It is really easy when you found diligent people. Just give 20 minutes to everyone to collect enough ingredient (you will not be doing this every run, maybe only once in 3 or 4 runs). We were killing him with 3 baits in one run. Choose a leader to follow while you are slaying him and let the leader use Guardian cross skill if he/she has.

Those are just some hints. But just like some people said and you mentioned, the dungeon itself is not easy and requires patience sometimes. Yet, I think it is what makes this dungeon special.

Not everyone bothers to find a pre-made nor gather a proper team. Players just want to get in there and play and thus you can't expect optimal results when you are doing public dungeons. It's not really that the dungeon is difficult, but it's more about players not being prepared 100% of the time when it comes to having spicy bait and traps. It's the first of its kind in AQ3D and I don't mind seeing AE putting different spin to their regular dungeon format.

Well, it is a dungeon that requires well-disciplined teamwork. There are more players who get in there, watching the others while they are farming traps and do nothing other than players who just want to be a part of the farm and dungeon. Running this dungeon in public is ocularly suffering. But here is another idea for people who want to run this dungeon but not have enough friends for running in private; you can PM others who you see hardworking to beat the boss. Thus, you can create a party in the next run and do the dungeon much faster.

This would be the Tengu challenge dungeon for me. I like the place most and the dynamics involving traps and various spawns for one boss is nice.

A boss with multiple phases are welcome and that challenge dungeon provides that.

A good boss fight by itself can make a dungeon great. It's one of the key factors that makes the dungeon what it is.

It just reminded me of Akriloth extreme and how it has phases too. This one feels like an upgrade.
Akriloth performed really well too for a long time, and a lot of people still run it.

We did not see those kinds of dungeons in the game for a long time. I am pretty sure we will have a new multiple phase boss dungeon in the new Sandsea update. I am really excited and hopeful for that new update.

I expect to see a boss with multiple phases when Sandsea comes out. We got some when Yokai Island got updated with them.
