So that announcement came out of nowhere. An it happened before Bethesda's E3 conference. Like with Rage 2, I hope this just means they are making more room for something big. If all they've really got is Rage 2 and Fallout 76... then idk. Then again, Bethesda is the proud owner of one of the worst E3 conferences ever last year so maybe they could just be that bad at this whole E3 conference thing.

Noclip's next video is on the history of Bethesda Game Studios and then a second part on the making of Fallout 76. I'm pretty excited about this, Bethesda is one of my favorite developers and it'll be really cool to get more information on how these games were made.



Speculation time! Fallout 76 is probably coming this year, it'd be silly to put out that much information on making it and then have everyone forget because it's not coming out for another 1.5 years. New traditional Bethesda RPG? Unfortunately is looking even more unlikely now. At this point, I'm thinking a teaser at best, no release this year. I really hope I'm wrong though. Thankfully we have less than two weeks to go and all should be much more clear. Also, still a rumor floating around that a Fallout 3 remaster is happening, it'd go well with Fallout 76 and it's the 10 year anniversary, so it'd make sense.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has been confirmed and will be at E3. Ubisoft put out a very short teaser on twitter yesterday. You can see that here:

The previous leak suggested the franchise will be moving back to a yearly schedule. I'm not too optimistic about that, Origins is the best AC game in a while and it came after finally dropping the yearly schedule. Shouldn't matter much for Odyssey though, I've heard it's a different team and they've had a while to work on it already. That all said, pretty excited. Really enjoying Origins and it looks like Odyssey will build on that.

Mario Tennis Aces demo is out now and will work for the next few days. Played it a bit and it's fun but it's actually put me off the fence. Not a game for me. It will be a great party game though and should be a solid online PvP game too. Check it out on Switch before it's gone!

Last, some more speculation. Fallout is getting massive banners around the E3 area. This all but confirms (imo) that Bethesda big new RPG will definitely not be coming this year. Still hoping for maybe an announcement but I think they like to announce and release the same year so who knows. The good news for Fallout fans though, they seem to be going big on Fallout 76.

Spent a good amount of time with Assassin's Creed Origins this weekend. It was a weird weekend anyways so got extra gaming in between having to do other stuff. I think I'm getting near the end of the main story, it's been pretty cool and interesting. Crossed over the 30-hour mark so it's definitely been good value, I should have stuff to do when it's done as well.

The views in this game are absolutely amazing. I'm not stuck on graphics at all, though I do really appreciate the technical achievements. An also really enjoy watching the benchmark get raised. Seriously though, Origins is simply one of the best, if not the best game visually I've ever played. I find myself using the photo mode often, something I don't usually do but the scenery works so well it's hard not too. It's landscapes are amazing and combined with the Egyptian and Roman architecture... you get some awesome vistas. They did a great job with this engine.

Origins has pretty much made my X purchase completely worth it on it's own. I can't wait to see where games go from here, we of course need the gameplay to go with it but games are looking really great these days. It's amazing what they can do compared to where we started.

More speculation! So Noclip's Bethesda documentary came out today, it's part one covering the history of Bethesda. Part two is coming next week after Bethesda's E3 conference because it'll be a behind on the scenes on Fallout 76. However! At the end of part one noclip says "stay tuned for an exciting, behind the scenes deep dive into the games this studio has been working on". Games with an S. Yes, very much a reach lol. Anyways, definitely check out this documentary. It was very well done and a great look inside Bethesda.

Fortnite Switch has been outed again, it's all but confirmed at this point. This time it was a patch uploaded to the eShop. Which is basically as close to an official confirmation as an official announcement. I'm not big into Fortnite myself but I know it's massively popular and should only make Switch sales stronger. It's a great add for Nintendo. The biggest mystery will be how it works with Nintendo's upcoming paid online service, it's unclear if F2P games or even third-party games will require the sub.
