For those wondering why we do the giveaway this way, there are several reasons.

1. It helps us monitor people who make duplicate accounts to get more keys, and prevent this from happening.

2. Stopping the thread gives us a break which we desperately need to tend with other matters on the site.

3. It also helps us help ensure more people from all timezones receive a key. If we just opened this up straight away on some automated system like most sites, all of the keys would have been gone within an hour. This means that usually only a select few who knew that the contest was going on right at that time would have got keys. This way, everyone has a chance to know that the giveaway is going on, and those who take the time to check back to see when the thread is open will be rewarded.

Please, I remind everyone once again that asking on the chatbox for a key is not tolerated, nor is spamming our forums. Anyone found doing this, will be banned without receiving a key.
