    Starting fresh.
    I want to avoid the confusion cause in the previous trivia you'd answer questions in the thread itself, while in the new one, you answer them through PM - that way you can actually ask a question that has only one or two correct answers. It's easier to make that switch with a new thread, people are more likely to notice it :)

    I don't agree, it's always stayed with it's original maker. It sets a bad precedence as going forward anytime someone takes over a Trivia they will be inclined and now have to the right to start a new one and not always for good reasons. I don't like it, it's too easy to abuse. :/

    That's your opinion and I respect that, however I didn't do this for any abusive reason but only a practical one, and I have asked ogre about this before I moved forward with it, he didn't have a problem with it.

    I actually don't see how starting a new trivia thread in place of the old one can be abusive in any way, what are these not good reasons you mention?

    I allowed it because the previous one, like a number of trivias these days, was stale and was not being maintained often enough. If Fox can start a new one and keep it going well, then he has my blessing:).

    As far as being the first one to make a new one, I don't think so. There might have been a new one in RuneScape (not sure), but I do believe Hack made a new one for Splashfighters when she took it over.

    I guess I should have posted here sooner, but I did post a couple of times in Ogre Wars about Fox modding that forum. BTW, Dark has allowed Fox to take over because I asked him before doing it:).

    Splashfighters yes, runescape no (unless it was removed by ogre, otherwise I would see it).

    My opinion on the matter is mainly just that I don't see a real reason in replacing the thread, and the logic about replacing it seems flawed to me. It's the same trivia, just in a new thread. Someone's ability to keep a trivia going would be independent of the thread it actually happens in, so a new thread is pointless.

    I mean I was mainly just curious as to why a new one was created, since I'd never seen that happen in any trivia takeover since I got here, so I asked.

    Yea, you are right after looking at that thread now on RuneScape. One mod had changed it up some once, but must have kept the same thread.

    I have to disagree with that about the trivia being maintained though. One of the reasons Trivia is dropping is because they are being maintained less and less. It gets to a point where members stop bothering because nobody is "minding the store" so to speak. I make it a habit to respond to every answer I see in the Free MMORPG Trivia while most members wait a week or sometimes much longer to respond to all of the answers and give out points. People can depend on getting the points soon so they generally keep answering:). There are always exceptions, but that is what I have noticed over the years.

    I don't mind you making a new thread, but this is actually not true. I still posted questions where you could only have one or two answers, where you PM me instead, as you actually should know since you've answered them before. I didn't add the requirement to PM me, only when the question had several answers, enough answers for everyone, unless ten people answers, and well, that's not exactly happening lol. And btw, making a new thread itself is actually pointless. What does it even matter how the previous rules were? If you want to avoid the confusion, you could just post in the original thread that you need to PM the answer to you, just like I did and that worked well for me, so why not for you? It's the same thing, and no reason at all to create a new thread. Don't exactly get what the point is.
