That's what long grinds really are. That feeling of getting what you grinded for is just amazing.

I don't think we'll see something grindy yet less RNG-based soon, even though it is possible (something like the BLoD quest chain from AQWorlds). It would take AE a lot of development time devising a quest chain like that (where it's dynamic rather than the same repetitive quest over and over again, and requires you to farm "for the most part" guaranteed drops), and there would probably also be a bunch of one-time items as well which wouldn't be as resourceful. And besides, the prominent feature that stands out in RPGs and MMORPGs is RNG anyway... everything is random (your attacks, how lucky you are at getting a drop, etc.).

Even then, I'd like to see less grind in general... with grind maybe appearing only during the end of a saga. Everything in AQ3D feels overkill right now, especially towards the mobile gaming audience.

 

Latest content that would fit this category would be Pi Mae's noodle recipe quest chain.

 

Only thing I think is worth it from that quest chain is the title. And a lot of times the best gear are reserved for repetitive RNG-based grind, daily quests, and other mundane stuff.

 

Currently the best gear is from boss drops from challenge fights on Yokai Island and most of them can be crafted as well if you enough of a specific crafting material from each boss besides from Enraged Son of Braken. Pi Mae's Noodles is a silly cosmetic and I consider it to be as important thing as the title.
