How badly does the Wii suck?

i can't really say how much Wii sucks/rocks because, I only played once, and that is at a friend's house. I was kinda interested in it though, but how would I know? I might get bored with it after a while.

 

I get the feeling that it's meant mainly for younger kids, despite the releases of games like CoD. The controls and game selection seem to be skewed more their way. When's the last time you saw someone swap in CoD for Super Mario Galaxy?

 

Well that's because FPS games, although all having the same goal (shoot what moves, and occasionally shoot what doesn't) can still have the feel of having variety with different maps and missions. Platformer games like Mario are pretty much as good as they can get. There's no improvement for them. And if your like me and played Mario on your SNES or N64 or whatever when you were younger, you really aren't interested in playing a platformer that, when it comes down to it, is pretty much the same game you finished when you were 9 years old. Sure you can still have fun playing it. But chances are it won't have that "cutting edge" feel to it that games like CoD inspire.

 

The wii has too much "shovelware" for my tastes

lol i couldn't make it through a single Zelda game... Does anyone have the Fire Emblem for wii cause i was a big fan of the gba version

 

So.. because a bunch of video game addicts say a game is good that makes Ichigo's opinion irrelevant? Sure says something about your character.

Don't get me wrong, I like IGN and respect them, they give quality reviews. But if your going to argue about whether or not a game is good, at least show the courtesy to him to do it as yourself, don't just copy what a bunch of people on a game reviewing website say.

 

I actually liked the Wii because it introduced motion controls, so there was a variety of new gameplay, and the best game on the Wii for me was Super Mario Galaxy. It was a really great console, but I will say that it's better than its successor (the Wii U).

 

Well i havnt played the wii for over 5 years. It's practically ancient for me now

 

I picked option 5. I still own quite a few games and I used to play it every once in a while.

I remember when the Wii first came out I was excited and thought it had really good potential, but yea I practically don't use it anymore.

 

Why everyon dislikes Wii? I like it so mutch. I used to paly it with friend and I still remember the pain after we played box for more than a hour straight.

 

I mainly played super smash bros brawl with my friends on the wii

 

It's one of those consoles that I'd play if I had to babysit someone's kid and they wanted me to play it with them. But I can't say it sucks, that would be harsh. It's not so great when compared to stuff like a playstation for obvious reasons, just the established name alone for starters. But as a standalone, leave wii alone!
