Inventory or Bank space

Discussion in 'Adventure Quest 3D' started by Rex, Aug 15, 2017.

  1. Would even incentivize the players spending thousands of DCs opening chests. They probably have tons of potions and temporary travel forms that they ended up deleting because of stack limits and the way inventory works, which seems like a huge waste considering they spent real money to open up chests for rewards.

Even those who just open up daily treasure chests will eventually reach stack limits for some of those temporary travel forms and it feels like a waste to just delete them.

  5. I think it feels like a bigger waste, if you have to spend money just to delete the rewards you get; you don't even get DCs from DC-bought chests since DCs only come from regular chests which are exclusively daily. As for players who aren't spending DCs on chests, it doesn't seem too bad deleting the rewards, and you're getting the rewards slower than players who are paying for chests anyway. The free inventory space should still be implemented for those items anyway.

It still feels bad if you have max stack of one of them regardless if you bought those chests with DCs or not. Make them part of the travel form tab just like they should be.

  9. Guess it mostly depends on the type of player you are. If you already have a permanent form, most likely you're not going to use the temporary forms (as often) or be worried of having to delete them; only case is probably if you're using the forms for looks. I'd imagine free players who don't own permanent forms use the temporary ones more frequently, so they probably don't face the stack issues as much, though I've seen moments when chests would open up x50 forms or some crazy amount. Inventory is still an issue for every player since there's a variety of forms from the chests.

I can see players using them more for looks rather than their intended purpose. Even players who don't have a permanent travel form do use them for their looks like Echo Of Bludregen or Pig Snout for example.

  11. Echo of Bludregen doesn't really serve any purpose but looks considering its speed. I usually see people in Yulgar's Inn standing with that form. As for every other form, I often see people use them for their intended purpose. I think the other factor is how common the item is; considering Echo of Bludregen's an epic quality item, you don't find it in chests as common as other forms, so most people will probably use it sparingly.

It does have its uses but they aren't exactly beneficial to players around you. I have seen players use Echo of Bludregen as a legit travel form and some players don't care if it's more useful to use a travel form with moves faster. It's like you have a sword that look amazing but it does little to no damage and then there's a sword that does a ton of damage but it looks very basic.

  13. I don't think forms are 100% beneficial that people need to worry about the best speeds, but there are times when they come in handy. Certain scenarios like places where there's a hard jump (parkour courses), but most of the time you can play the game without a form. In a dungeon, if you're behind (i.e. in the previous room instance of a dungeon), you can just use the go to feature to teleport to a player. Maps aren't super-big either, and most of the time you can just use the /join feature... in Battleon, for instance, the location is separated by districts which have their own join commands. There are a few maps that feel vast and empty that you might want to use a form (such as Isle of the Dead), but most maps are easy to explore. Otherwise, I see forms being useful for players who just want to play the game quickly. Most players probably don't feel rushed to use their temporary forms, but then is there even any purpose of keeping those forms if those players will barely use them, especially if inventory will become a concern for them? For instance, why would a player need 5 stacks of Pig Snouts when 1 stack would suffice (if they barely use forms anyway)? It would still be a nice benefit to have the free space for temporary forms, or a way to merge them for a permanent form that doesn't take up space, but there are some players that go overboard with collecting too many.

The way AQ3D was made doesn't really let us get the full benefit from them which in turn just made them a mild convenience. /join commands, party teleporting and teleport to friend would need to go for them to become important. Making a permanent travel form using temporary ones isn't something AE hasn't done before so that option shouldn't be too much to ask.

For me it is better to add more bank space so it is a good way to help free players like me to store more drop items :D

You mean more space per vault? That would be more f2p friendly.

Definitely inventory spaces. It would be nice to carry atleast 2-3sets with u everytime xD..

  19. Yeah, new players are severely limited to how many sets they can carry with them. I think 60 is the number for new players. From my experience playing on a new account, carrying 2 sets (about 16 items) is barely enough. It mostly depends on what you put in your inventory. 7 sets in a 60-capped inventory space is possible, but it's very impractical.

There are a lot of non-set items that just take up so much space: HP / Mana Potions and food buffs (which you need for combat), hoarded misc. items like Daily Boss Tokens, Live Event Coins, and Pet Feeds, treasure items (particularly the one-time use forms, gold/XP/class boosts, and food buffs), items used for questing, collector's items (Midas' Curse, A Frogzard Ate My Head), rare items (Wrap of Determination, promo capes), HeroMart items, and other miscellaneous stuff. You can store them in a bank, but sometimes it's a huge hassle going back and forth from every bank visit to do a certain task. And it's also easy to fill an entire bank vault and still struggle with inventory management.

60inv spaces for non-guardian and 90 for Guardians, what I mean for 2-3 set is carrying your custom made set using different parts from different set. But really agreed in carrying rare items for we invest alot of time getting them.

On the other hand, kuddos that they excluded pets and travel forms to the main inv count, but there are sooooo many items being added regularly/weekly so the shortage of inv spaces is really a pain, exclusion of equipped items to the count and making a seperate inv for crafting materials can be the best solution for this.
