    well, lol is not a place for hybrid anything, so both pure ad and tank, or even pure ap is better then hybrid. stay away from hybrids in this game until riot decides to update hybrid equipment and make them viable.

    well, lol is not a place for hybrid anything, so both pure ad and tank, or even pure ap is better then hybrid. stay away from hybrids in this game until riot decides to update hybrid equipment and make them viable.

    Maybe i can help
    For first time you should take Dorans blade and one potion.
    Then when you came base

    If you play against AD champion
    You should go for Trinity force, it's nice item for dueling someone.
    and if you start winning against him you will go for BOTRK if you have a little trouble you should go for Randuin's omen.

    If you play against AP champion
    When you play against AP champion best item for jax is Maw of Malmortius.
    it's the best item item for AD/DPS champions when you play against AP. You will gain magic shield when you are low HP and it will protect you, also you get Magic resistance from this item
    If you winning lane you should go for BOTRK so he can't rune from you, if you loosing try to def and go for Banshee's veil.

    If you play against Tanky champion
    For first item i recommended BOTRK with this item you can duel all tanks, you have nice attack speed and life steal, also you can drain his HP (the best thing when you play against tanks).

    Final build
    Magic resistance boots,trinity force,BOTRK,randuin's omen,Banshee's veil and (chose between this two item) guardian angel and guinsoo's rageblade.
