    I agree with you sooo much. Older games took time to be well designed and that gameplay was good. Todays game come out in 1 month (2 month tops) and are pretty bad. I would take CoD for example of that... CoD 2, 4 and 5 were really well done, but the rest aren't even interesting. :)

    i can change versions whenever i feel like it on my custom minecraft.
    last one i used was 1.6.4 i think.

    with forge ofc. need it for all them mods.

    it is fun that the game is endless, you can build whatever you want, you need to collect recourses.
    BUT the main thing that bothers me is that there is no real danger in the game. only things that are mildly annoying is the lava (mostly in nether) and the ender dragon. i used some mods to rise up the difficulty but its pointless. i would REALLY love it if there were monsters that actually went out of their way to destroy your base. what's the point of making a colossal castle if no one is going to try and destroy it?
