Public Test of Version 9.2 and More Strongholds Testing | General News | World of Tanks


Due to some necessary technical work, the public test is currently unavailable. We will make an announcement when the test server is back online.
Main Features of the First Public Test of Version 9.2

Strongholds – a new game mode for clans
Improvements and corrections for the following maps: Sacred Valley, Cliff, Sand River, Hidden Village, Erlenberg, El Halluf, Airfield, Komarin and Prokhorovka
Rebalancing of some vehicles
Six new medals for Team Battles
Display of HD vehicle models changed


Strongholds

The mode will be available in the game client and will not be connected with the Global Map or Clan Wars. Following your feedback from the previous test phase, during this test every clan member will be able to create and test a Stronghold, not just the Commander.

Features:
Build a Stronghold and level it up to Tier 4.
Create buildings, which allow clan players to get Reserves (bonuses), and level them up to Tier 4.
Fight Skirmishes and receive x5 Industrial Recourses income in Skirmishes.


Special changes in Strongholds for this test phase:
Each clan member can now create a Stronghold, not only the Commander.
The restriction requiring a minimum of 20 players per clan to create a Stronghold has been disabled.
The restriction requiring 15 players per clan to create Zones has been disabled.
Renamed clan tags (random names will be assigned).
Boosted income for Skirmishes (x5).
Cooldown for clan operations disabled (usually 48 hours).


Keeping in mind that the Strongholds game mode is not in its final form yet, we highly appreciate your feedback and strongly encourage you to post your opinions and suggestions in the forum section dedicated to Strongholds feedback. Please also report any bugs in the dedicated thread.
Please note that during the Public Test there will be no possibility to attack the Strongholds of other clans.

Clans registered in World of Tanks by 21:59 CEST (UTC +2) on 30 June 2014 are eligible to take part in the Strongholds test. Please be aware that all clan tags will be randomly changed during the update 9.2 testing period.

During the Public Test of Version 9.2, creating clans will be possible for free. Joining clans will also be allowed. As a result, a special Public Test portal will be available for players. It is an exact copy of the live portal, just like the test client is an exact copy of the game client.

To create a clan please follow the link.
All clan operations, such as clan creation, promoting members and entering clans, will be available on the Public Test portal.
The 48 hour cooldown time for changing clans will be disabled for the Public Test period.
To use the Public Test portal you must be eligible to take part in the tests and log in to the test client. All changes affecting clans and the clan roster will be valid only for the Public Test.

Eligibility: Every player who registered their account before 21:59 CEST (UTC +2) 30 June 2014*.

*If you changed your account password after that time, please use your old password while logging in to the Test Server.


Feedback: please post your general feedback about the test version and bug reports in the appropriate threads on our forum.


Test client download

Download the test client installer.
Make sure you pick a save location that is different to your regular World of Tanks game files. Save and run the installer. (4.5 MB)
Run the new copy of the game. The launcher will download all the additional data (7.81 GB).
Log in and start playing. Remember to post your feedback to this forum thread.

Please be aware of the following:

The test server will be restarted regularly, according to the following schedule:

First Periphery: 06:00 CEST (04:00 UTC) every day. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
Second Periphery: 07:00 CEST (05:00 UTC) every day. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
Central Database: 11:00 CEST (09:00 UTC) every day. Average duration will be around 2 or 3 minutes.
The test server may be subject to unscheduled restarts and maintenance.

- Australian server in WoT? “While there is no further specific information on a possible AUS cluster at the moment… We are continuing to expand into the Asia/Australasia region with WOT and other titles, Such as the recent launch of WOT Blitz IOS. Sorry I don’t have any more information available at the moment.â€
- Storm states that the use of PVE bots in WoT would for example be in historical battles, where bots would play the small tanks noone wants to play
- regarding the same question as above (players not playing weak tanks in historical battles), Storm states that giving even more credits to players for playing lowtier tanks is not an option (“very few people like to suck for moneyâ€)
- T-62A armor change will happen only if WG gets better info on its armor thickness
- “it is not yet clearâ€, what will happen to FV4202 when the tier 10 one it is changed to another vehicle
